Oxbow Jockey Gary Stevens Joins Call as a Special Guest
NBC Sports Group’s 14.5 Hours of Coverage From Churchill Downs Continues All Week on NBC and NBC Sports Network
NEW YORK – May 2, 2013 – NBC Sports Group will conduct a conference call TODAY, May 2, at 11:30 a.m. ET to preview coverage of the 139th Kentucky Derby with members of its broadcast and production teams.
Gary Stevens, who has come out of retirement and will ride Oxbow in the Kentucky Derby, will also join the NBC conference call as a special guest. Stevens, the three-time Kentucky Derby-winning jockey, has worked as an analyst on NBC’s coverage since his retirement.

NBC Sports Group will present 14.5 hours of Kentucky Derby coverage continues today at 4 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network and culminates with the 139th running of the Kentucky Derby on NBC, Saturday, May 4, beginning at 4 p.m. ET.
Kentucky Derby coverage, which includes 8.5 hours on Derby Day on NBC and NBC Sports Network, will include:
- 11.5 total hours on NBC Sports Network;
- Three hours of “Derby Classics” (Mine That Bird, Animal Kingdom, I’ll Have Another) to air on NBC Sports Network.
