Local Sunday night gatherings to “Match Up” people to watch Sunday Night Football in competing team cities

Stamford, Conn., September 1, 2022 — NBC Sports and The League dating app are partnering to launch Sunday Night Football watch parties at beloved sports bars across the country. Dubbed “SNF Match Up,” the campaign encourages football lovers everywhere to spend Sunday nights socializing with friends at sports bars and meeting new fans along the way while watching Sunday Night Football on NBC and Peacock.

“The SNF Match Up campaign is the perfect way to reach young casual fans, creating experiences in places that they love to spend their time,” said Lyndsay Signor, NBC Sports senior vice president of consumer engagement. “We are excited to launch such a unique partnership with The League to drive members to the events and push tune in to Sunday Night Football.”

“This partnership is the first of many examples of how The League plans to grow our brand through strategic partners like NBC Sports,” said Amanda Bradford, CEO of The League. “The people who enjoy sports tend to also appreciate the work that goes into being able to play at such a high level and appreciate communities like ours that set a high bar for entry. Finally, what sport is more fun than football? Our users are ready for some fun events and a chance to meet great people.”

These SNF Match Up mixers are designed to be a casual and fun place where people can go to root for their teams and meet fellow fans. All attendees will get a chance to win the SNF Match Up Sweepstakes – the grand prize includes 2 tickets to a Sunday Night Football game during the 2023 season.

SNF Match Up kicks off in New York and Los Angeles on Sept. 8 with a special Thursday night edition for the NFL Kickoff game between the Buffalo Bills and the Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams at 7 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock – and quickly moves to Sundays beginning Sept. 11. Leaning into the passion and fandom across the country, the special SNF Match Up events are in the following cities:

    • Sept. 11 Orlando and Dallas
    • Sept. 25 San Francisco and Denver
    • Oct. 2 Kansas City and Tampa
    • Oct. 9 Cincinnati and Baltimore
