STAMFORD, Conn. – April 19, 2020 – NBC Sports’ encore presentations of classic Sunday Night Football games continues tonight at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN with the New England Patriots hosting the Seattle Seahawks in Week 10 of the 2016 season.
In their first meeting since New England’s dramatic victory over Seattle in Super Bowl XLIX, the Seahawks stop the Patriots on four consecutive plays from inside the two yard-line to earn a 31-24 victory in Foxborough.
NBCSN will present another classic SNF game at 8 p.m. ET next Sunday, April 26.
Mike Tirico introduces Sunday night’s matchup on NBCSN, and game presentations will include a specialized ticker featuring live tweets. In a rematch of Super Bowl XLIX -- when New England beat Seattle on Malcolm Butler’s late interception at the goal line -- the Seahawks travelled to Foxborough face the Patriots on Sunday Night Football in Week 10 of the 2016 season.
In a back-and-forth game which featured five lead changes, Tom Brady and the Patriots received the ball on their own 25-yard line facing a seven-point deficit with less than five minutes remaining in the game. Brady led New England down the field, setting up a 1st-and-goal from the Seahawks’ two-yard line with 43 seconds remaining, but Seattle’s defense stopped the Patriots on four consecutive plays from inside the two-yard line to secure a 31-24 victory.
Russell Wilson passed for 348 yards with three touchdowns -- all to wide receiver Doug Baldwin -- for a 124.6 passer rating in the victory, while Brady passed for 316 yards and Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount rushed for three touchdowns.
Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth called the game from Gillette Stadium.

Packers quarterback Matt Flynn makes his first career start in Week 15 of the 2010 season as Green Bay visits the Patriots at Gillette Stadium. The Patriots thwart the Packers’ last-minute drive, punctuated by a Vince Wilfork strip-sack on fourth-and-one from the New England 15 yard-line on the last play of the game, to hold on for a dramatic 31-27 win. Flynn passed for 251 yards and three touchdowns.
