Live, commercial-free coverage of the event will also be available with direct-to-consumer live streaming product NBC Sports Gold’s “Track and Field Pass.” In addition, encore coverage of the event will air this Saturday, June 2, at 3 p.m. ET on NBC.

As a part of its track and field coverage throughout the season, NBC Sports Gold will present live, commercial-free coverage of every IAAF Diamond League event, including bonus programming of field events, highlights, replays, and an exclusive 30-minute preview of each event. Highlighting the action in Rome are rising sprint star Christian Coleman (men’s 100m), Rio Olympian Vashti Cunningham (women’s high jump) and 2016 Olympic bronze medalist Emma Coburn (women’s steeplechase), who are expected to headline the American contingent. U.S. Olympic medalists Brianna (Rollins) McNeal, who won the women’s 100m hurdles at the Diamond League meet in Shanghai earlier this month, Sam Kendricks (men’s pole vault), and Kerron Clement (men’s 400m hurdles) are also expected to compete. The men’s 100m will feature a rematch between two U.S. sprinters – Ronnie Baker, who won the 100m at last weekend’s Prefontaine Classic, and Coleman, who was second.

Paul Swangard handles the call, joined by analysts Ato Boldon and Josh Cox.

Content will be presented as part of the Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA partnership among NBCUniversal, the IOC, and the USOC.
