STAMFORD, Conn. – May 20, 2021 – Four-time Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles headlines NBC Sports’ live coverage of the 2021 U.S. Classic Gymnastics from Indianapolis this Saturday, May 22 at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN.
Peacock will present Saturday’s U.S. Classic early session competition beginning at 1 p.m. ET. Then at 5:30 p.m. ET, Peacock will have an exclusive U.S. Classic: Warm-up show immediately before the evening event on Saturday, which will include live look-ins at Biles’ warm-up session ahead of her performance on NBCSN.
Biles, who looks to defend her 2019 U.S. Classic all-around title, is expected to compete this weekend along with three-time medalist at the 2019 World Championships Suni Lee, four-time world medalist Jade Carey, and 2016 Olympic gold and silver medalist Laurie Hernandez, who will compete in Saturday’s early session.
The 2021 U.S. Classic features junior and senior competitions and will be headlined by numerous Olympic medalists and world champions, including 2008 Olympic silver medalist Chellsie Memmel, who makes her return at age 32 after nine years away from competition. The event also serves as the final opportunity for female gymnasts to qualify for the 2021 U.S. Gymnastics Championships (June 3-6).
