New Episode of Mecum Dealmakers: Dallas Airs Thursday at 9 p.m. ET on NBCSN, Featuring Top Muscle Cars From 2014 Auction

NBC Sports Live Extra to Provide Live Streaming Coverage of Mecum Auctions

STAMFORD, Conn. – Dec. 3, 2014 – NBCSN will present more than 15 hours of Mecum Auctions coverage this week, featuring nearly 750 classic and collector cars from the Kansas City auction, beginning tomorrow night at 7 p.m. ET. NBC Sports Live Extra – NBC Sports Group’s live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices, and tablets – will provide streaming coverage of this weekend’s Mecum Auctions coverage from Kansas City.

This weekend’s Kansas City auction will include a wide array of American muscle cars, classic cars, hot rods, and much more. Top vehicles up for auction include a 1967 Shelby GT500 Fastback and a 1971 Dodge Challenger Convertible.

Coverage begins tomorrow night at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN, followed by five straight hours of live Mecum Auctions coverage on Friday at noon ET. NBCSN’s Mecum Auctions presentation from Kansas City continues on Saturday, beginning at 12:30 p.m. ET.

Scott Hoke will host NBC Sports Group’s Mecum Auctions coverage this week from the Kansas City Convention Center, alongside analysts John Kraman, Stephen Cox, and reporter Bill Stephens.

NBCSN will also premiere a new episode from the Mecum Dealmakers series, highlighting the stories behind the top cars sold at this year’s Dallas auction, tomorrow night at 9 p.m. ET. This week’s debut of Mecum Dealmakers: Dallas will feature a behind-the-scenes look the first-ever Yenko Camaro known to exist, a pair of Dodge Plum Crazy Hemi Challengers, and a 2014 Ford Raptor benefitting Cars For Troops.

Mecum Dealmakers, which dovetails off of the Mecum Auctions series on NBCSN, tells the story of President and Founder Dana Mecum and his son Frank Mecum, as the father-son tandem works together to manage the high pressure of the auction floor, where buyers and sellers hope to make the deal of a lifetime, often with hundreds of thousands of dollars on the line.
