STAMFORD, Conn. – July 29, 2026 – Major League Baseball and NBC Sports today announced two Sunday primetime schedule changes, featuring clubs in playoff contention.
The National League Wild Card-leading Chicago Cubs’ matchup against the division-rival Cincinnati Reds on Sunday, Aug. 30, has been flexed into primetime on Sunday Night Baseball at 7 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock. That day’s Houston Astros-New York Mets game (previously scheduled for 7 p.m. ET) moves to 3 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.
On Sunday, Sept. 6, the first-place Chicago White Sox matchup with the AL Central-rival Minnesota Twins has been flexed to Sunday Night Baseball at 6 p.m. ET on Peacock and NBCSN. The originally scheduled Toronto Blue Jays-Kansas City Royals game will now be available in the team’s local markets and on MLB.TV.
Sunday Night Baseball continues this Sunday, Aug. 2 at 7 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock, as the first-place Los Angeles Dodgers host the surging Boston Red Sox, who have won 18 of their last 21 games.
