Former Liverpool and Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers is taking the same post at Celtic.
The Scottish champions announced the hiring of the 43-year-old Rodgers on Friday, and the Northern Ireland man has signed a 12-month rolling contract that makes him the highest paid coach in club history.
Rodgers takes over for Ronny Deila, who held the post for just under two years and won the Scottish Premiership both seasons. Rodgers becomes the 18th permanent manager in Celtic history.

Rodgers led Liverpool to second place in the Premier League in 2013-14, but was fired early this season. Prior to leading Swansea into the Premier League via the promotion playoffs, he worked at Reading and Watford.

Deila’s combustible relationship with fans should lead to a honeymoon period for Rodgers, though the Celtic boss has to deal with the promotion of hated rivals Rangers back into the top flight. It’ll be fun to see who joins Rodgers up North, and if any of his old clubs become pipelines.
