Cristiano Ronaldo has been showered with awards by Spain’s top flight. And rightly so.
Real Madrid’s star striker won the Ballon d’Or award last season as the best player in the world and has gone on an almighty tear to start this season, scoring 21 goals in his first 14 games for Real.

On Monday Ronaldo was honored in a gala dinner by La Liga for his incredible season in 2013-14 as he led La Liga with 31 goals as Real finished runners up but won the UEFA Champions League. Ronaldo won three awards on Monday as he was named the best player in La Liga, plus he picked up the best forward and the best goal accolades.
Diego Simeone of Atletico Madrid won the best coach gong, while Real’s Luka Modric was named as the best midfielder with Barcelona’s Andres Iniesta named as the best attacking midfielder. Sergio Ramos of Real won the best defender awards and Keylor Navas (formerly of Levante and now at Real) won the best goalkeeper award.
Ronaldo has also been named on the 23-man shortlist for the Ballon d’Or award as he’s odds on to defend his crown and be named the best player in the world for the second-straight season.
The Portuguese forward remains at the top of his powers, and at the age of 29 he shows no sign of slowing down as the awards continue to pour in for his greatness.
