It was an exhilarating match between AC Milan and Parma, and AC Milan came out on top with the 5-4 result, an abundance of scoring led by a two-goal performance from Milan midfielder Jeremy Menez.

The French winger made 90 caps for Paris Saint-Germain from 2011 to 2014 before being signed by the Rossoneri on a three-year deal this summer.

Known for his technical skill with both legs and persistent pace, Menez displayed his qualities in the AC Milan contest against Parma, including a wonderful back-heeled goal, evading multiple defenders and Parma goalkeeper Antonio Mirante.

He played in the central midfield for the injured Fernando Torres, the Chelsea striker that was loaned out to the Italian club in hopes of re-establishing his form from days prior.

Menez took advantage of his opportunity, though, and he’s very excited to have performed so well to snag the victory.

“We played a good game and ran a few too many risks, as we had the initiative throughout and the four goals we conceded were a little strange,” he said to Sky Sport Italia. “In the end it’s the win that counts.”

“The team showed courage and never let go. I am trying to do all I can and help the team. Tonight we suffered a lot too and must work on that. I feel good, this team and the coach helped me a great deal and I am happy at Milan.”

Milan now stands at first place in their league table, right next to Juventus and Roma with each team maintaing six points.
