Massive news out of the 2015 Copa America, as Brazil’s star and captain Neymar has received a four-match suspension following his red card against Colombia.
That means his tournament is officially over, as Brazil has one match left in the group stage, followed by what would be three matches should they reach the final.

With all three teams in Group C tied on three points and even on goal differential, one could wonder if Brazil will even advance to the knockout round without their number-one target.
Brazil takes on Venezuela on Sunday, and Neymar’s suspension can be appealed, which will surely be coming soon from the Brazilian CBF, the sports governing body.
All of this came from a post-match fracas following Brazil’s 1-0 loss to Colombia, which saw Neymar and Colombian striker Carlos Bacca both receive red cards after the final whistle.

It is also reported that Neymar continued to berate the referee in the tunnel, which could be a reason why he was handed a four-match ban.
The Barcelona star also had some choice words for the media, claiming referees “use the rules against me,” and calling official Enrique Osses “weak.”
The loss to Colombia ended Brazil’s unbeaten run under Dunga, and now the team will face an uphill battle should they be Neymar-less for the rest of the tournament.
