The United States men’s national team defeated Costa Rica 1-0 on Friday at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in abrutally snowy conditions for a World Cup qualifying game. It was a critical win for the U.S., which picked up its first points in the final round of World Cup qualifying before heading to Mexico on Tuesday for another massive match in the road to Rio 2014.
