Report: Manchester United denies meeting with Guardiola

Louis van Gaal's club earned a 1-0 victory over Liverpool in Round 22, but there are still numerous problems that have to be fixed according to Robbie Earle and Robbie Mustoe.

Manchester United reject reports that it’s met with Pep Guardiola about its managerial position.

France Football reported the two sides got together last week in Paris, but the Premier League powers denied that in a report published by the BBC’s Simon Stone.

Guardiola, 45, has recently apologized for announcing his desire to work in England beginning next season, as its caused lots of speculation about jobs that are currently quite filled in the Premier League.

It’s a tricky spot for United. On one hand, they’d be foolish not to explore the opportunity given Louis van Gaal won’t be coaching forever. But on the other, even a “no comment” would rouse wild gossip in an Old Trafford climate that’s none-too-pleased with the boss.
