Middlesbrough’s impressive offseason is continuing with a pair of big name signings.

Alvaro Negredo and Neven Subotic are expected to join Aitor Karanka’s Premier League push, according to the Northern Echo.

Boro had already picked up goalkeeper Victor Valdes and solid Atalanta midfielder Marten de Roon.

Negredo is coming on loan from Valencia. The 30-year-old had fits and starts in the Premier League with Manchester City, but was prolific in Cup and European play.

He scored 18 goals in two seasons at Valencia, and Boro may also be snaring La Liga teammate Antonio Barragan.

Subotic, 27, has made more than 250 appearances for Borussia Dortmund and will reportedly cost Boro approximately $22 million.

You may also remember him as the South Florida product who turned down the U.S. shirt to join Serbia.

The 6-foot-3 defender was born in Yugoslavia but appeared for the U.S. at the U-17 and U-20 levels. He’s been capped 36 times for Serbia.
