Just when Manchester City fans thought they had seen the back of Carlos Tevez, the Argentine striker may well be back on the streets of Manchester.
Tevez, who joined Italian champions Juventus earlier this week, still has a huge chunk of his 250 hours of community service to serve. The 29-year-old forward was ordered to complete the community service after being found guilty of driving while disqualified and without insurance.
In a bizarre twist following his transfer, Tevez’ lawyer Gwyn Lewis -- nicknamed Merlin the Magician at City for seemingly getting several people out of trouble with the law -- has spoken out to reassure the public that his client doesn’t “break any rules” regarding the remaining hours of his sentence.
Tevez’ troubled time in Manchester seemed to be at an end, however how he gets around this conundrum will be interesting to see. Currently the maximum amount of community service Tevez can complete is 40 hours a week, but he only has approximately two weeks until preseason begins with his new club in Turin. He won’t finish his sentence before he has to join up with Juve.

So as he settles into Italian soccer, Tevez will need to keep making jaunts back to Manchester to carry out his community service as promised to the judge in the UK.
If Tevez does break any of the rules he can be re-sentenced and given another community order to “secure compliance with the purposes of the original sentence.” We are now left with the intriguing scenario of Tevez having to go back amongst the Manchester City fans, after already stating that Juventus have “more ambition” than City.
