Rivaldo and his son, Rivaldinho, ripped it up in the Brazilian second division for the club he is president of, Mogi Mirim, in a 3-1 win.
That’s right. His son.
Rivaldo, 43, made a comeback from retirement to play in Brazil’s second-tier earlier this month and has lined up alongside his 20-year-old son Rivaldinho Junior.

Watch the video above to see Rivaldo play in a Mogi Mirim winger to cross for Rivaldinho to score with a magnificent diving header to put his side 1-0 up early on. And, when he wheels away in celebration who is the first player Rivaldinho celebrates with? His Dad, of course.
Plus, it got better as later in the first half Rivaldinho won a penalty kick and gave the ball to his old man who slammed home the PK to make it 2-0. Cue another warm embrace between the father-son duo as the latter knelt down and polished his father’s famous left boot in celebration. Priceless.

Rivaldo was a World Cup winner with Brazil in 2002 and starred for Barcelona during his illustrious career which is still going on 24 years after it began.
It may not be the highest standard of play in the world, but how many other professional soccer players can say they’ve not only played with their fathers but also scored in the same game?
Remarkable.
