Golden State Warriors star man Curry (the current NBA MVP) sent Messi (the current Ballon d’Or holder) one of his jerseys in recent months and the Barcelona and Argentina superstar has vowed to return the favor soon.
With Golden State winning the NBA title in 2015 and Curry and Co. currently ripping up the NBA in 2016, winning 68 of their 75 games so far, they resemble Barca’s success. The Catalan club is currently 39 games without defeat in all competitions.

Speaking to reporters, Curry revealed that Golden State’s coach, Steve Kerr, has shown his players videos of Barcelona and the players have picked up plenty of tips from their fluid style of play that saw them rule Spain and Europe last season with Luis Enrqiue’s men winning a famous treble.
Now, we know soccer and basketball tactics vary but the fact that an NBA coach is sitting his players down to watch Barca play and learn from their movement is pretty cool.
Ahead of El Clasico between Barcelona and Real Madrid at the Nou Camp this Saturday in La Liga, Curry was also asked about the clash between the two Spanish giants.
“These are always fun to watch. Two very, very talented guys that do their different styles,” Curry said. “Usually there are some dramatic and there is going to be something very entertaining going on in that game.”
By the way, Leo is a big fan of yours too, Steph...
