Willian, take a bow, son.

In Week 1 of Chelsea’s UEFA Champions League group campaign against Maccabi Tel Aviv, Willian scored a free kick from distance which was more of a cross into a dangerous area but evaded everyone. The same happened against Newcastle on Saturday as he sparked Chelsea’s comeback in a 2-2 draw.

But there was no doubt that he meant to score against FC Porto in the first half of Chelsea’s UEFA Champions League.

Right on the stroke of half time Ramires was chopped down on the edge of the box and from the resulting free kick, Willian curled home a beauty to make it 1-1. Question marks surrounded Iker Casillas’ positioning, with the former Real Madrid star stood behind his wall, but Chelsea didn’t care as Jose Mourinho refused to celebrate despite his side dragging themselves level at the break.
