On the latest episode of Bet the Edge, Jay Croucher and Drew Dinsick are in all of their glory as they anxiously await the return of the 2022-2023 NBA Season, which tips off on Tuesday night. The program highlights all of the best values on the board in various futures markets.
Bet the Edge discusses where they see the best prospects in the Sixth Man of the Year market. Jay is all about Jordan Poole (+450) despite his clear favorite status. Drew also likes Poole, as well as Christian Wood (+1000), and is intrigued by Caris LeVert (+2000). Both agree that Victor Oladipo has the capability and pedigree to be an incredible longshot at his current price (+4000). Targeting the Most Improved Player award, the duo agree that this is the most difficult one to price and believe Tyrese Maxey (+1200) has a great chance to win it, but aren’t thrilled with the price after it has been steamed from the +3000 range. For the regular season MVP, Jay and Drew are hammering the Joel Embiid train (+600) as they expect Philadelphia to take another step forward in the Eastern Conference.
Highlighting the Eastern Conference race, Drew is looking to grab a lot of equity in the market with the 76ers (+700) and Nets (+350) to secure a solid position. Jay is also curious about the 76ers given all of the momentum and buzz surrounding the team, especially in a conference that is not expected to be as competitive as last season. In the Western Conference, Jay loves his dark horse Timberwolves (+1600) to make a run at making the NBA Finals. Drew is taking a look at the Denver Nuggets (+850) to make some noise out of the West with the back-to-back reigning MVP Nikola Jokić. For the NBA Champion, Drew is not yet sold on anything in the current market, and Jay is waiting for the Celtics to potentially move from the favorite spot (+600) to +1000 or greater before dipping in on them.
Bet the Edge will highlighting several more pivotal matchups throughout the week!
