Game 2 between the Lakers and Warriors kicks off Thursday night with Los Angeles up 1-0 for a second-straight series.
Anthony Davis erupted for 30 points and 23 rebounds, while LeBron James double-doubled with 22 points and 11 rebounds in the Lakers 117-112 win. The Warriors folded down the stretch and now look for a rebound opportunity in Game 2 at home.
The Lakers scored 117 points on 6-of-25 from three (24%) and lived at the free-throw line, going 25-of-29 (86.2%). The Warriors on the other hand, they went 5-of-6 from the free-thrown line (83.3%) and 21-of-53 from three (39.6%).
While the Warriors made 21 triples, attempting 53 isn’t a great game plan moving forward if you can’t win on your home court doing it. Steve Kerr will make the necessary adjustments to tie up the series 1-1 headed back to Golden State.
Golden State hasn’t lost back-to-back home games in the playoffs since the 2081-19 NBA Finals versus Toronto.
I played the Warriors at -5 and -110 odds and would go to -6. I also dabbled in the first quarter and first half as I expect Golden State to jump out to an early lead.

The Warriors led at two of the three first quarters following a loss this postseason, plus Los Angeles is ranked second-worst in adjusted net rating during the playoffs at -23.5 in the first quarter.
