Russell Westbrook Triple-Double and Win vs. Cavs

The Washington Wizards are one win away from being the No. 10 seed in the NBA’s first-ever play-in tournament.

Today, the NBA is all over the place with injuries, rest and teams gauging what they need to do to earn that first-round matchup they desire. As this is one of the toughest slates to bet, I go back to Westbrook to continue his reign.

If you live under a rock, you missed out on what Westbrook has been doing after the All-Star Break. The last time Westbrook did not triple-double in back-to-back games was March 23-25 - that is 27 games ago!

Westbrook has triple-doubled in eight of his last 10 games and 22 of his last 27 contests!

With that being said, I will be playing Westbrook to triple-double and the Wizards to win tonight. NBC’s model projects Westbrook to record 24.1 points, 14.2 assists and 12.7 rebounds for another triple-double.

The Cavs rank 22nd over the last five games allowing 46.8 rebounds per game to opponents and tied-12th with 25.2 per game permitted. Cleveland is out of the playoff race, so tonight will be nothing but playing the role of spoiler.

The Wizards have lost two straight games and only need one victory to knock the Chicago Bulls out of contention. Washington just finished a five-game road trip and host Cleveland and Charlotte to end the season. [[ad:athena]]

Washington is a -8.5 point favorite and while that is pretty high, I believe the Wizards get the win today and rest Sunday. Washington met Cleveland twice this season and beat them both times, 122-93 and 119-110. The Cavs have lost four of the last five meetings with the Wizards.

Westbrook recorded 15 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists in the previous meeting and 14 points, 11 assists and five rebounds in the first. Bradley Beal played in both meetings, so expect Westbrook to continue his run of high usage versus the 27th rated defensive team in the league to start May.

You can name your bet on PointsBet or make the parlay the old-fashioned way in the same game parlay tab. I would play this up to -130 odds for one unit.
