Kazuma Okamoto finished 3-for-4 with three RBI and two walks in the 11-inning loss to the Astros on Tuesday.
Okamoto gave the Jays a 6-4 lead with a two-run single in the eighth, but Tyler Rogers couldn’t hold it in the ninth. It’s both Okamoto’s first three-hit game and first four-RBI game in MLB, and he had two walks for the fourth time. While he’s been excellent at driving in runs all year long, OBP has been a bit of a concern. However, he’s gone from .308 to .326 while reaching 10 times (six hits, three walks and a HBP) over the last three games.
