Dean Kremer set to start for Orioles on Friday

Kremer gave up five hits, walked one and struck out three. He’s 3-5 with the win. Kremer improved on the five earned runs he allowed in his last start, which was also against the Tigers. He still has a 6.46 ERA in 23 2/3 innings over his last five starts and a 5.65 ERA on the year. Kremer is lined up to face the Yankees at home next week, but he doesn’t need to be rostered in most fantasy leagues at this point.

Rogers allowed six hits and walked none. He has an exceptional 69/6 K/BB in 61 innings since the All-Star break, though his 3.54 ERA doesn’t quite match up with his peripherals. He’ll take on the Blue Jays on Saturday or Sunday.

The runs came in the second on a walk, a Gunnar Henderson error and then a homer from Eli White. Bradish allowed just one other hit, but he walked four in all. With the Orioles losing six straight and close to being out of contention, it’s possible Bradish will be shut down for the last week or two of the season. He’s at 152 innings this year after coming in at 39 and 54 the previous two seasons, which were interrupted by Tommy John surgery. As things stand now, he’s slated to face the Blue Jays next weekend.

Not much came easy to Kremer in this start. The Tigers had constant traffic on the bases and he struggled to put hitters away despite missing plenty of bats – 12 total whiffs and multiple with four different pitches. He’s also continued to push up his fastball usage since joining the Twins at the cost of his sinker. It’s had mixed results so far and he’s scheduled to face these same Tigers again next time out.

Rogers struck out a career-high 11 without walking anyone, rewarding fantasy managers who rolled the dice on him in Coors. He fanned six in a row at one point and has pitched to around a 3.00 ERA since the beginning of June after a challenging first couple of months. He was always going to regress from the 1.81 ERA he registered a season ago, and while he’s at 4.30 for the year, the in-season turnaround has been nice to see. An impending free agent, he’s now up to a career-best 144 1/3 innings. He draws the Guardians at home next time out.

After a scoreless first inning in Colorado, Bradish gave up a solo homer to Adael Amador in the second. A triple and a base hit plated one more run for the Rockies before Bradish could get to the third inning. He gave the Orioles three more scoreless frames before ending his day after five at 95 pitches. He struck out four. The 29-year-old right-hander will take a 4.01 ERA, 1.42 WHIP, and a 137/64 K/BB ratio across 148 innings into a start against the Red Sox in Baltimore on Sunday.

Cade Povich will start Monday’s series opener against the Rockies at Coors Field with Bradish taking the ball on Tuesday instead. There doesn’t appear to be a physical issue at play here, but the Orioles want to give him some extra rest. The 29-year-old is coming off a disastrous outing against the Cardinals last week where he was torched for seven runs over 4 1/3 innings. It’s challenging to trust Bradish in Coors Field, especially in shallow mixed leagues. There’s a chance his next outing against the Red Sox this weekend could also get pushed back, eliminating a two-start week in the process. There are superior alternatives on the waivers wire in most shallow mixed leagues.

Rogers had good velocity today, struck out seven and allowed just four hard-hit balls, but the first six batters to reach against him all scored on a three-run homer in the second, a two-run homer in the fourth and an RBI single in the fifth. It’s the first time in 17 starts since May 18 that he’s allowed more than four earned runs. He should still be fine to use in Colorado next week.

Bradish allowed only a Nolan Gorman solo homer through four before giving up two singles, two walks and two doubles in the fifth. None of the hits were particularly impressive — the two that were hard-hit were both grounders — but those free passes really hurt. It’s the first time this season Bradish has allowed more than five runs, and his ERA crept back over 4.00 for the first time since mid-June. He’s still a reasonable bet in mixed leagues for now, but some late-season fatigue is possible in his first full year back from Tommy John.

Kremer’s only blemishes were a homer by Jackson Merrill and a Xander Bogaerts single before the sixth, but he did give up a double and walk before exiting that frame. The right-hander’s velocity was slightly down; averaging 92.1 mph on his fastball compared to his usual 93, but he was able to command that offering and the rest of his arsenal exceptionally well in one of his best starts of 2026. Kremer has now pitched well in two of his last three starts, but it’s hard to trust him to replicate these results next weekend in a scheduled bout against the White Sox.
