The Indians are expected to add Esmil Rogers to the active roster Wednesday.
Rogers was acquired from the Rockies for cash considerations on Tuesday. The 26-year-old right-hander has an ugly 8.06 ERA over 25 2/3 innings this season. The corresponding roster move isn’t yet known.

Max Fried (elbow) played catch before Monday’s game against the Royals.
The good news is that Fried was able to throw. The bad news is that Yankees manager Aaron Boone told reporters prior to the game that Fried’s elbow underwent further imaging, and that nothing from those results suggested that Fried was ready to “ramp up” the program. It’ll likely be a good while before we see the 32-year-old southpaw back on the mound for the Bronx Bombers.
HLs: Angels walk off Rangers after Detmers dazzles
The Angels used Reid Detmers' masterclass, some well-timed offense and a few good breaks to complete their first sweep of the 2026 season in a 2-1 win over their AL West-rival Texas Rangers.
  • SF Starting Pitcher #62
Giants manager Tony Vitiello told reporters that Logan Webb (knee) could return to the rotation over the weekend against the Rockies.
Vitiello cautioned that nothing is final, but it does seem more likely than not that Webb returns to the San Francisco rotation in the coming days. The 29-year-old has been out of action since May 6, and reportedly hasn’t dealt with knee pain in any of his starts. Webb might be on a stricter-than-normal pitch count, but there’s still a great chance for him to pick up a win against the lowly Rockies if/when that outing comes to fruition.
  • TOR Right Fielder #38
Blue Jays activated OF Nathan Lukes from the 10-day injured list.
Lukes missed right around a month with his hamstring strain. The 31-year-old outfielder will likely see a good amount of starts in the outfield now that he’s healthy enough to do so, but he doesn’t have enough offensive oomph to provide fantasy production on a consistent basis.
  • TOR Left Fielder #36
Blue Jays optioned OF Davis Schneider to Triple-A Buffalo.
Schneider gets the boot from the active roster with Nathan Lukes (hamstring) ready to rejoin from the 10-day injured list. The 27-year-old has scuffled mightily to begin 2026 as seen in a .127 average over 71 at-bats, and while it seems likely he’ll be back at some point, it’s hard to see him being a relevant player in 2026.
  • TEX 3rd Baseman #6
Josh Jung (shoulder) is not in the starting lineup for Monday’s game against the Astros.
Jung has been out since being removed from Saturday’s game with shoulder soreness. The 28-year-old will continue to recover from the bench with Ezequiel Duran playing third base and Michael Helman starting at shortstop.
  • CLE Relief Pitcher #62
Guardians placed LHP Erik Sabrowski on the 15-day injured list with left elbow inflammation.
Elbow inflammation is always a concern, it’s more concerning from a pitcher that missed three months because of elbow issues, and Sabrowski did just that to begin 2026. The left-hander will miss at least two weeks, but this seems likely to be a longer stint on the injured list. It’s a big loss for the Guardians, as Sabrowski has been one of the best relievers in baseball with 17 holds and a 1.71 ERA over 21 innings.
  • CLE Relief Pitcher #50
Guardians recalled RHP Codi Heuer from Triple-A Columbus.
Heuer replaces Erik Sabrowski, with Sabrowski placed on the 15-day injured list with elbow inflammation. Heuer will be a middle-inning option in this stint with the Guardians.
  • NYM Starting Pitcher #34
Kodai Senga (back) will make another rehab start Thursday.
Senga will make his second rehab outing after allowing two runs over 3 1/3 innings for Low-A St. Lucie on Friday. The 33-year-old will likely need another outing in the minors after Thursday before he’s ready to rejoin the Mets’ rotation.
  • NYM Relief Pitcher #33
A.J. Minter (lat) is expected to be activated off the 60-day injured list before Tuesday’s game against the Reds.
Minter has been unavailable for all of 2026 as he recovers from lat surgery. The 32-year-old may be eased into his role to begin his time with the Mets, bt when healthy, he’s been one of the better left-handed relievers in baseball. In addition to getting Minter back, it’s also expected that Jared Young will also come off the injured list before Tuesday’s tilt with the Reds.
  • NYM Catcher #4
Francisco Alvarez (knee) has resumed hitting.
Alvarez is considerably ahead of schedule according to Mets manager Carlos Mendoza, with Mendoza saying that the backstop is “built different.” Alvarez was expected to be out through the All-Star break, and while fantasy managers shouldn’t make any assumptions, but it sounds like there’s a chance the 24-year-old beats that timeline and gets back in action before the end of June.
