Mets minor league right-hander Corey Taylor is headed for Tommy John surgery.

The surgery will likely leave him sidelined through midseason next year. The 26-year-old Taylor pitched between Double- and Triple-A last season and had a 2.37 ERA and 15/7 K/BB ratio through 19 innings this year in Triple-A. He was a seventh-round pick of the Mets back in 2015.

Pavin Smith (elbow) will begin a minor league rehab assignment on Monday in the Rookie-level Arizona Complex League.

Smith is working his way back from surgery to remove loose bodies from his left elbow that put him on the shelf at the outset of the regular season. The 30-year-old corner outfielder figures to be ready to return to Arizona’s lineup at some point in June.

HLs: Angels walk off Rangers after Detmers dazzles

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (elbow) is out of the lineup for Monday’s series opener against the Marlins.

Guerrero receives some extra time off to rest and recover after taking a pitch off his right elbow during Sunday’s series finale against the Pirates. The positive news for the Blue Jays and fantasy managers is that X-rays came back negative for any fractures. The 27-year-old fantasy superstar isn’t completely out of the woods yet, but all signs point to him returning to Toronto’s lineup this week. It’ll be Lenyn Sosa taking over at first base in his absence.

Shane Bieber

TOR Starting Pitcher #57

Shane Bieber (elbow) recorded three strikeouts over two scoreless innings on Monday in a minor league rehab start in the Rookie-level Florida Complex League.

Bieber scattered three hits and didn’t hand out a free pass in his first rehab outing as he continues to work his way back from offseason elbow inflammation that delayed his ramp-up process during spring training. The 30-year-old former fantasy ace will require a couple weeks of rehab outings to continue building his arm strength and stamina prior to rejoining Toronto’s rotation for his season debut, most likely in late June.

Wyatt Langford

TEX Left Fielder #36

Wyatt Langford will take batting practice before Monday’s game against the Astros.

Langford is hopeful that he’ll be able to take live batting practice before Friday’s game, and there’s a chance the outfielder could begin a rehab assignment if/when he’s able to compete that goal. The 24-year-old has been out with a strained forearm since April 22, and he’ll likely need a handful of games before potentially returning around the start of June.

Willy Adames

SF Shortstop #2

Willy Adames is in the leadoff spot for the fourth straight game on Monday against the Diamondbacks.

Giants manager Tony Vitello moved Adames to the leadoff spot last Friday and he’s gone 3-for-14 with one homer and two RBI in three games since. The 30-year-old shortstop has been swinging a hot bat recently, hitting .306 (19-for-62) with three homers and 11 RBI over his last 15 games.

Max Fried

NYY Starting Pitcher #54

Max Fried (elbow) played catch before Monday’s game against the Royals.

The good news is that Fried was able to throw. The bad news is that Yankees manager Aaron Boone told reporters prior to the game that Fried’s elbow underwent further imaging, and that nothing from those results suggested that Fried was ready to “ramp up” the program. It’ll likely be a good while before we see the 32-year-old southpaw back on the mound for the Bronx Bombers.

Logan Webb

SF Starting Pitcher #62

Giants manager Tony Vitiello told reporters that Logan Webb (knee) could return to the rotation over the weekend against the Rockies.

Vitiello cautioned that nothing is final, but it does seem more likely than not that Webb returns to the San Francisco rotation in the coming days. The 29-year-old has been out of action since May 6, and reportedly hasn’t dealt with knee pain in any of his starts. Webb might be on a stricter-than-normal pitch count, but there’s still a great chance for him to pick up a win against the lowly Rockies if/when that outing comes to fruition.

Nathan Lukes

TOR Right Fielder #38

Blue Jays activated OF Nathan Lukes from the 10-day injured list.

Lukes missed right around a month with his hamstring strain. The 31-year-old outfielder will likely see a good amount of starts in the outfield now that he’s healthy enough to do so, but he doesn’t have enough offensive oomph to provide fantasy production on a consistent basis.

Davis Schneider

TOR Left Fielder #36

Blue Jays optioned OF Davis Schneider to Triple-A Buffalo.

Schneider gets the boot from the active roster with Nathan Lukes (hamstring) ready to rejoin from the 10-day injured list. The 27-year-old has scuffled mightily to begin 2026 as seen in a .127 average over 71 at-bats, and while it seems likely he’ll be back at some point, it’s hard to see him being a relevant player in 2026.

Josh Jung (shoulder) is not in the starting lineup for Monday’s game against the Astros.

Jung has been out since being removed from Saturday’s game with shoulder soreness. The 28-year-old will continue to recover from the bench with Ezequiel Duran playing third base and Michael Helman starting at shortstop.
