Carlos Correa went 3-for-4 with two doubles, three RBI and a walk on Sunday night, leading the Twins to a 6-2 victory over the Astros in Game 2 of the ALDS.
Correa got the scoring started against his former squad with a run-scoring double off of Framber Valdez in the opening inning. He then increased that advantage with a two-run single into center in the fifth inning that made it a 5-0 ballgame. The 29-year-old shortstop also smacked a one-out double in the seventh inning, but he was cut down at the plate attempting to score. With his three RBI, he surpassed Derek Jeter and David Ortiz to move into fourth place on the all-time MLB postseason leaderboard for RBI with 63. He has been sizzling this postseason, going 8-for-15 (.533) with three doubles and four RBI through his first four games.

Kristian Campbell went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, and two runs scored for Triple-A Worcester on Tuesday.
The home run was his second of the season, but came off Carlos Rodon (elbow), who was rehabbing for the Yankees. After a slow start to the season, Campbell is now hitting .291 with a .397 on-base percentage, .398 slugging percentage, and .795 OPS in 28 games at Triple-A. The Red Sox have no space for him in the big league outfield right now, but it’s nice to see the 23-year-old bouncing back after a rough season last year.
Target Red Sox’ Anthony for trade amid injury
Provided he doesn't get bad news about his hand, Roman Anthony could be a good buy-low candidate in fantasy baseball.
  • LAA Starting Pitcher #21
Grayson Rodriguez (shoulder) allowed one run on five hits in five innings in the Arizona Complex League on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old also struck out seven and didn’t issue a walk. We have no velocity readings from this game, and he’s obviously pitching against competition that’s well below MLB-caliber. Still, it’s nice to see him complete five innings without walking anyone. He should move up to an affiliate for his next rehab outing.
  • LAA Relief Pitcher #44
Ben Joyce (shoulder) allowed one run on no hits with one walk in one inning for High-A Rancho Cucamonga on Tuesday.
Joyce sat between 98 and 101 mph on his four-seam fastball in this one; however, he also threw just seven of his 15 pitches for strikes. He still has a few more rehab appearances to go before he joins the Angels’ bullpen, but it’s nice to see the velocity is already back to where we’d like it to be.
  • SD Shortstop #2
Xander Bogaerts went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI to power the Padres to a 10-5 win over the Giants on Tuesday.
Bogaerts put the Padres on the board with a solo homer off Logan Webb in the second inning. He later plated a second run on a groundout in the fourth, drew a walk in the fifth, and ended his day with a single in the ninth. The 33-year-old shortstop is hitting .270/.352/.429 with six homers, 16 runs scored, 20 RBI, and four steals across 142 plate appearances.
  • SF Catcher #79
Jesus Rodriguez went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI against the Padres on Tuesday.
After going hitless in his debut on Monday, Tuesday was a day of firsts for Rodriguez. A base hit in the second inning drove in a run for his first career hit and RBI. He later took Jeremiah Estrada deep for a solo homer in the seventh inning. He’s now made back-to-back starts at catcher ahead of Patrick Bailey and could take over primary duties if he can produce at the dish.
  • SD Starting Pitcher #10
Walker Buehler allowed four runs with five strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings in a win over the Giants on Tuesday.
Buehler served up a two-run homer to Casey Schmitt in the first inning. The Giants brought two more runs in to score in the second on three straight hits and a groundout. Buehler settled in for three more scoreless innings, leaving with two runners on and one out in the sixth at 82 pitches. He struck out five. The 31-year-old right-hander will take a 5.64 ERA, 1.52 WHIP, and a 29/12 K/BB ratio across 30 1/3 innings in a start against the Cardinals in San Diego on Sunday.
  • SF Starting Pitcher #62
Logan Webb allowed six runs and struck out four batters over four innings in a loss against the Padres on Tuesday.
Webb tossed a scoreless first inning, then surrendered a solo homer to Xander Bogaerts in the second. The wheels fell off for Webb in the fourth as he surrendered five runs to the Padres on five hits and a hit batter. Webb would not return for the fifth, ending his day at 62 pitches. After the game, manager Tony Vitello said Webb was dealing with some knee soreness, but noted it wasn’t too serious, adding, “Nothing to freak out about.” Still, it could be something to monitor. The 29-year-old right-hander has struggled so far this season, posting a 5.06 ERA, 1.40 WHIP, and a 42/15 K/BB ratio across 48 innings. He’s scheduled for a start against the Dodgers in Los Angeles next Monday.
  • LAA Center Fielder #27
Mike Trout went 2-for-2 with a home run, two runs scored, and two RBI to lead the Angels to a 4-3 win over the White Sox on Tuesday.
Trout put the Angels on the board early, taking Erick Fedde deep for a solo homer in the first inning. After drawing a walk in the third, he walked again in the fifth and scored a second run before knocking a base hit in the eighth. A healthy Mike Trout is always good for baseball. The 34-year-old star is hitting .262/.436/.563 with 11 homers, 32 runs scored, 22 RBI, and five steals across 165 plate appearances.
  • LAA Shortstop #9
Zach Neto went 2-for-4 with a solo home run against the White Sox on Tuesday.
Neto was in a serious slump, going hitless in his last five games. His home run drought extends back to April 10. He first broke the hitless streak with a single in the third inning, then took Erick Fedde deep for a solo homer in the fifth. The 25-year-old shortstop is up to six with 24 runs scored and seven steals while slashing .218/.327/.395 across 171 plate appearances.
  • HOU 3rd Baseman #1
Carlos Correa’s left ankle injury is “serious,” sources told The Athletic’s Chandler Rome.
Correa will visit a foot specialist on Wednesday. It’s probably a good thing that that is the left ankle, as opposed to the right one that caused Correa to flunk physicals with the Mets and Giants as a free agent three years ago. Still, a lengthy absence appears likely here. The Astros will get by with Nick Allen and Braden Shewmake until Jeremy Peña comes off the IL, something that will hopefully happen next week. While this is definitely a blow, it at least will serve to settle the Houston infield, with Isaac Paredes playing third regularly and Yordan Alvarez DHing most of the time.
