Hays was an All-Star in 2023, but the 29-year-old struggled and dealt with a kidney infection after being traded to the Phillies. The right-handed hitter will receive medical scrutiny, but should see interest on the market for a team looking for a potential starter in either outfield corner.

Stott smacked a two-run double off of Isaac Mattson in the sixth inning that pushed the Phillies’ lead to 5-0. He then added to it with a 395-foot (108.7 mph EV) solo shot off of Dennis Santana in the eighth. With his two-hit day, the 28-year-old infielder is now slashing .224/.268/.385 with four homers, 21 RBI and nine swipes through his first 155 plate appearances on the season.

Harper tagged Pirates’ ace Paul Skenes for a 403-foot (103.7 mph EV) solo shot in the sixth inning of this one, extending the Phillies’ lead to 3-0. That would be his lone hit on the afternoon. For the season, the 33-year-old slugger is slashing .282/.376/.559 with 12 homers and 30 RBI.

The 35-year-old right-hander scattered just four hits and one walk in the brilliant effort. The Pirates only had one runner reach second base against him, as Brandon Lowe doubled with two outs in the sixth inning. He got 13 whiffs on 98 pitches on the day — nine of them on his fastball which averaged 96.3 mph — while posting a solid CSW of 27 percent. He has been great through his first five starts, going 3-0 with a 1.99 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and a 30/7 K/BB ratio across 31 2/3 innings.

As a team, the Pirates were only able to muster four hits in the contest, so the fault wasn’t all on Davis in this one. He is having an abysmal season at the plate though, slashing a cringe-inducing .141/.248/.239 with two homers and eight RBI in 106 plate appearances.

On the plus side for fantasy managers, Skenes racked up seven strikeouts on the day while allowing only one base on balls. He kept the Phillies off the board for the first four innings, but they scratched out a pair to take the lead in the fifth inning and added three more while chasing Skenes in the sixth. He got 10 swings and misses on 92 pitches on the day, posting a CSW of 25 percent. Now 6-3 on the season, he’ll bring a terrific 2.62 ERA, 0.71 WHIP and a 63/8 K/BB ratio (55 innings) into Saturday’s showdown against the Blue Jays in Toronto.

Roa is on to his fourth organization of the year. He got into seven games with the Astros earlier this season, posting a 5.19 ERA.

Henderson got the party started in the top half of the first inning with a 397-foot (106.7 mph EV) solo shot off of Richard Lovelady. He then capped off the scoring in the contest with an RBI single in the ninth. His bat has started to show signs of life, raising his season slash to .214/.269/.423 to go along with 10 homers, 24 RBI and six stolen bases.

Cowser connected on a 394-foot (113.3 mph EV) two-run shot off of Miles Mikolas in the fourth inning that increased the Orioles’ advantage to 6-1. That would be his only hit in four at-bats on the day. He has had a very rough go at the plate, slashing .173/.269/.235 with just the one home run and nine RBI in 94 plate appearances.

Young also issued three free passes on the day while striking out three. He served up a solo homer to Jacob Young in the second inning, then the Nationals scratched out another run while chasing him in the fourth inning. The 27-year-old righty generated 11 whiffs on 70 pitches in the game — six of those on his heater — while posting a CSW of 27 percent. He’ll carry a 4.25 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and a 22/14 K/BB ratio (29 2/3 innings) into Saturday’s showdown against the Tigers.

The 26-year-old outfielder got the Nats on the board in the second inning with a 390-foot (103.4 mph EV) solo shot off of Brandon Young. On the season, he’s now slashing .224/.275/.353 with five homers, 21 RBI and a pair of stolen bases in 168 plate appearances.
