  • LAA Center Fielder #27

Mike Trout (knee) told reporters that he’s feeling good and could start running next week.
Trout has already begun hitting, which is obviously a positive sign. The 33-year-old doesn’t have a timetable for a return, and it seems likely that he’ll need at least a week or two more before he’s ready to hit in the middle of the Angels’ lineup.
  • SF Center Fielder #51

Jung Hoo Lee is on the bench for Saturday’s game against the Red Sox.
Lee takes a seat amid a calamitous 9-for-27 slide at the dish over his last 15 games. He’s been scuffling even worse over the past week, going just 2-for-27 in his past seven contests, which has caused him to be dropped to the lower-third of San Francisco’s lineup. Giants manager Bob Melvin said Saturday that Lee is rushing and trying to do too much at the plate right now. Hopefully the extra time off allows him to work on things and get back on track. It’ll be Daniel Johnson taking over in center field on Saturday afternoon against the Red Sox.
What's next for demoted Red Sox prospect Campbell?
A tough couple months prompted a demotion for Red Sox prospect Kristian Campbell, but James Schiano remains confident he'll find his way in Boston -- and for fantasy managers.
  • SD Right Fielder #23
Fernando Tatis Jr. is in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Royals.
Tatis went 0-for-3 with a pair of walks during Friday’s series opener after checking out fine following a hit-by-pitch scare earlier this week against the Dodgers. It’s an extremely encouraging sign that the 26-year-old field-tilting talent managed to avoid serious injury when he was struck on the hand by a pitch during Thursday’s contest in Los Angeles and didn’t need any extra time off to rest and recover.
  • NYM Shortstop #19
Mets signed INF Pablo Reyes to a minor league contract.
Reyes will remain in New York after being removed earlier this week from the cross-town Yankees’ 40-man roster. The well-traveled 31-year-old fortifies the Mets’ middle infield depth. He got into one game for the club last year before being shipped to the Yankees. He can be safely ignored in all fantasy formats.
  • NYM Relief Pitcher #49
Mets recalled RHP Chris Devenski from Triple-A Syracuse.
Devenski augments New York’s middle relief depth heading into Saturday’s showdown against the division-rival Phillies. The 34-year-old journeyman reliever has made a pair of appearances this season in the big leagues. He’s made a whopping 305 appearances in the majors since 2016.
  • NYM Relief Pitcher #53
Mets recalled RHP Tyler Zuber from Triple-A Syracuse.
Zuber has yet to make an appearance for the Mets since being acquired last July at the trade deadline in exchange for relief prospect Paul Gervase, who ironically just made his big-league debut for Tampa Bay. The 30-year-old righty has made 56 relief appearances in the big leagues since the pandemic-shortened 2020 campaign.
  • NYM Starting Pitcher #40
Mets optioned RHP Blade Tidwell to Triple-A Syracuse.
Tidwell has been jettisoned back to the minors after allowing two runs over 3 2/3 innings on Friday in a spot start against the Phillies. This was always going to be a one-and-done outing for the 24-year-old prospect, regardless of the results, with veteran Frankie Montas (lat) set to rejoin New York’s rotation mix.
  • NYM Relief Pitcher #71
Mets optioned RHP Justin Garza to Triple-A Syracuse.
The reliever carousel continues for New York with Garza returning to the minors after spending less than 48 hours with the club as extra middle relief depth. The 31-year-old righty allowed four runs over two innings on Friday night in a calamitous outing against the Phillies.
  • PIT Center Fielder #10
Pirates activated OF Bryan Reynolds from the paternity list.
Reynolds is back in right field and batting third for Saturday afternoon’s showdown against the Rangers at PNC Park following a three-game stint away from the club on paternity leave.
  • PIT Relief Pitcher #63
Pirates recalled RHP Hunter Stratton from Triple-A Indianapolis.
Stratton rejoins Pittsburgh’s bullpen ahead of Saturday’s game against the Rangers with lefty Ryan Bourcki hitting the injured list with a back issue. The 28-year-old righty has made two relief appearances this season in the big leagues.
  • PIT 1st Baseman #25
Pirates optioned 1B/OF Billy Cook to Triple-A Indianapolis.
Cook went 2-for-6 with a run scored over three games with the Pirates while veteran Bryan Reynolds was away from the club on paternity leave. The 26-year-old rookie heads back to the minors for now, but he could get another look at some point later this year.
