There’s still no word on how long the Pirates expect him to be sidelined for, though he now won’t be eligible to return until the middle of August.

Still, this is a pretty typical outing for him these days. He’ll take a 2-4 record and a 6.04 ERA into his next outing in San Diego.

Lowe came into the day with a .213/.275/.319 line in 51 plate appearances this month, so he needs to heat up again with Eugenio Suárez nearing a return. More games like this will help keep him in the lineup, probably at Ke’Bryan Hayes’ expense.

Turner also scored on a 255-foot flyout to left from Bryce Harper that almost no one else would have tried tagging up on. Turner has hit in seven straight games. Even better for fantasy leaguers is that he’s attempted seven steals in his last 11 games, succeeding six times. He was 3-for-3 through his first 38 games.

There are zero guarantees here, but it sounds like Tong is an option to pitch at some point during New York’s upcoming three-game series against the Marlins that gets underway on Friday night. The 22-year-old top pitching prospect was scratched from his scheduled start for Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday to keep him available. Tong was hit hard in his first taste of the majors last year, but offers sky-high strikeout upside, which makes him an interesting low-risk pickup for fantasy managers. There should be a definitive update on the Mets pitching plan later this week.

Doyle is day-to-day with a left side contusion that he suffered during Tuesday’s contest while attempting to make a diving play in center field. It doesn’t sound like a potential injured list situation.

It’s notable that Kiner-Falefa is making his second straight start at the spot with Andruw Monasterio on the bench. The 31-year-old infielder appears likely to help fill the void created when Trevor Story hit the injured list with a sports hernia last weekend. The widely-held assumption was that Boston would give former top prospect Marcelo Mayer a look at the position, but that doesn’t appear imminent.

It’s a different-looking lineup for the Yankees with Ben Rice moving up to the leadoff spot to face Blue Jays youngster Trey Yesavage. Grisham has been mired in an extended tailspin at the dish, hitting .184 (9-for-49) with one homer and two steals over his last 15 games. It’s a bit unclear whether this is a one-time deal or a sign of things to come from Yankees manager Aaron Boone. It’s a situation worth monitoring over the remainder of the week.

Morabito will get a breather after being involved in a couple collisions with the left-field walls at Nationals Park during his big-league debut on Tuesday night. He nearly made a spectacular catch to rob James Wood at the left-field wall, but it wound up glancing off his glove and going for an inside-the-park home run. He also made a phenomenal grab where he reached into the seats in foul territory while colliding with the low wall down the left-field line line. Did we mention that he was also hit by a pitch in the knee during that contest? There was a lot going on as Morabito finished 0-for-3 with a pair of strikeouts. It’ll be Juan Soto back in left field with A.J. Ewing in center field in this one.
