The 22-year-old top prospect obliterated the upper minors to earn an early-June call-up to the big leagues, but is hitting just .143/.203/.263 with four homers, seven RBI and one steal through 36 games. He’s clearly going through an adjustment period at the highest level and Kansas City seems committed to letting his play through his early-career struggles.

Yost winds up getting $3.25 million reasons to walk away from a commitment to Florida, which is a near full-slot deal for the 24th overall pick, which carried a $3.76 slot value. The 18-year-old prep shortstop was one of the bigger first-round surprises from the 2025 MLB Draft, but Detroit’s success during the Scott Harris era means this might be a worthwhile gamble. He’s several hyperspace jumps from the big leagues, but he’s a name dynasty managers should be watching as he kicks off his professional career.

Conrad receives a $3.56 million signing bonus, which represents a well below-slot deal for the 17th overall pick, which carried a $4.75 million slot value. The 21-year-old outfielder is coming off shoulder surgery during his final collegiate season at Wake Forest, but offers an assortment of above-average offensive tools, which give him a chance to make an impact for fantasy purposes down the road.
