Francisco Lindor (wrist) returned to Grapefruit League action on Sunday.

It’s the first time that Lindor has been in the lineup on the big league side since undergoing hamate bone surgery on his left wrist. He’ll get as many at-bats as possible over the next week and a half and barring any setbacks it sounds like he should be good to go in time for Opening Day.

Zach Neto told reporters on Sunday that he was diagnosed with a minor left hand sprain and hopes to return to action in a couple of days.

The 25-year-old shortstop sustained the injury as he dove headfirst into home plate during Saturday’s Cactus League affair. Fortunately, it sounds like he was able to avoid any significant injury. Neto noted that he’s grateful that he “dodged a bullet” and said that he learned a lesson about sliding headfirst. It sounds like fantasy managers and Angels’ fans can breathe a sigh of relief.

Amos Willingham

HOU Relief Pitcher #50
Astros reassigned RHP Amos Willingham and LHP Tom Cosgrove to minor league camp.

No real surprises among this duo, as both would have needed exceptionally strong springs to push for inclusion in the club’s Opening Day bullpen. Willingham was lit up during Grapefruit League play, posting a 10.50 ERA, 2.17 WHIP and a 10/4 K/BB ratio across six innings.

CIN Relief Pitcher #70

Reds reassigned RHP Tejay Antone to minor league camp.

The 32-year-old right-hander struggled during Cactus League play, registering a 7.94 ERA, 1.94 WHIP and a 7/4 K/BB ratio across 5 2/3 innings. He’ll attempt to get himself right at Triple-A Louisville before getting an opportunity to contribute to the Reds’ bullpen.

Ryan Lambert

Mets reassigned RHPs Ryan Lambert and Carl Edwards Jr., LHP Joe Jacques, C Kevin Parada, INFs Ryan Clifford, Jackson Cluff, Grae Kessinger and Jacob Reimer and OFs Ji Hwan Bae, A.J. Ewing and Jose Ramos to minor league camp.

Lambert comes as a bit of a surprise, as he had looked sharp during Grapefruit League play. He should get an opportunity to work out of the Mets’ bullpen at some point in 2026. Edwards will continue to work as a starter at Triple-A Syracuse where he adds quality rotation depth that will be needed throughout the season.

J.P. Crawford

SEA Shortstop #3

J.P. Crawford (shoulder) is scheduled to return to Cactus League action on Tuesday.

Crawford has been battling a minor shoulder injury. The team has opted to take a cautious approach rather than rushing him back and risking further injury. The 31-year-old shortstop is confident that he’ll be ready and in the Mariners’ lineup on Opening Day.

Marlins optioned C Joe Mack and RHP Ryan Gusto to Triple-A Jacksonville; reassigned OF Kemp Alderman, RHP Zach Brzycky and RHP Jack Ralston to minor league camp.

We’re not so sure Mack isn’t the Marlins’ best option behind the plate right now, but the team is committed to Agustín Ramírez for the moment and Liam Hicks will stick as the backup. Mack, who is the team’s best defensive catcher, went 3-for-24 with a homer this spring.

Wilyer Abreu

BOS Right Fielder #52

Wilyer Abreu belted a go-ahead three-run homer in the sixth inning on Saturday night, powering Venezuela to a stunning 8-5 victory over Japan in the quarterfinals of the World Baseball Classic.

Venezuela fell behind early 5-2 in the contest, but Maikel Garcia slugged a two-run homer in the fifth inning that pulled them back to within a run. Then in the sixth, Ezequiel Tovar and Gleyber Torres singled before Abreu pummeled a game-changing 409-foot (108.1 mph EV) three-run blast that sunk the defending champions. That would be his only hit in the three at-bats on the night, though it changed the entire tournament. Next up for Venezuela, is a date with Italy in the semifinals on Monday.

Maikel Garcia

KC 3rd Baseman #11

Maikel Garcia crushed a two-run homer on Saturday as Venezuela triumphed over Japan in the quarterfinals of the World Baseball Classic.

Venezuela entered the fifth inning staring at a three-run deficit, but Garcia was able to pull them a bit closer when he launched a 406-foot (104.1 mph EV) two-run blast off of Chihiro Sumida. He also doubled off of Yoshinobu Yamamoto in the contest, finishing the night 2-for-5. He’ll look to replicate this fine effort against Italy in the semifinals on Monday evening.

Ronald Acuña Jr. belted a leadoff home run on Saturday night as Venezuela roared past Japan in the quarterfinals of the World Baseball Classic.

The 28-year-old superstar wasted no time in this one, crushing the second pitch thrown by Yoshinobu Yamamoto for a 401-foot (106.2 mph EV) solo shot to give Venezuela an early advantage. That would be his only hit in five at-bats on the night, including three strikeouts, but it set the tone for the eventual comeback victory.
