Drew Gilbert went 3-for-5 with a triple, walk and a pair of runs scored as the Giants triumphed over the Rockies 14-11 in Cactus League play on Thursday evening.
The 25-year-old outfielder led off the fifth inning with a triple and scored on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Heliot Ramos. He also singled twice in the ballgame. For the spring, he’s hitting .259 (7-for-27) with a pair of RBI though he has yet to hit a home run or steal a base. He’s expected to land a bench spot on the Giants’ Opening Day roster but won’t be relevant from a fantasy perspective unless he winds up in an everyday role.
