  • LAD Shortstop #50

Mookie Betts exited Saturday’s game against the Nationals with right lower back pain.
Betts must have experienced pain while crossing home plate on a run-scoring double by Freddie Freeman. The 33-year-old will miss the rest of Saturday’s contest with Miguel Rojas taking over at shortstop. Betts likely won’t be in the lineup Sunday, either, but his status is one that should be updated prior to that contest.

J.T. Realmuto (back) is in the lineup for Tuesday’s showdown against the Cubs.
It’s a positive development for the Phillies that Realmuto will avoid a trip to the injured list after dealing with a lingering back issue that cropped up over the weekend and caused him to miss a pair of contests. The 35-year-old backstop is back behind the dish and batting sixth on Tuesday against the Cubs.
Expect closer by committee with Diaz sidelined
With Edwin Diaz sidelined for multiple months, Eric Samulski highlights which Dodger arms fantasy managers should have their eyes on and why Tanner Scott could get the "majority" of save opportunities.
  • NYM Right Fielder #22
Mets manager Carlos Mendoza confirmed Juan Soto (calf) will be activated for Wednesday’s game against the Twins.
Mendoza confirmed multiple reports earlier on Tuesday that Soto would return for Wednesday’s contest after missing just over two weeks with a right calf strain. Fantasy managers should prepare to have him back in their lineups. His return will provide a much-needed lift for the free-falling Mets, who have lost 11 straight games.
  • NYM Starting Pitcher #45
Mets manager Carlos Mendoza told reporters Christian Scott will be called up to start Thursday’s game against the Twins.
Mendoza added that Kodai Senga will remain in New York’s rotation with David Peterson going to the bullpen. It sounds like they want to give Senga, who will take the ball on Saturday against the Rockies instead, some additional time to work through his recent issues with Peterson shifting to a long relief role. It’s been a nightmare season for the Mets but Scott has always been an interesting arm and could have fantasy appeal in deeper mixed leagues. The former top pitching prospect hasn’t pitched in the big leagues since undergoing Tommy John surgery back in 2024. He’s posted a lackluster 5.27 ERA despite a 17/2 K/BB ratio across 13 2/3 innings at Triple-A Syracuse this season.
  • NYY Center Fielder #12
Trent Grisham is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Red Sox.
Grisham, 29, will get a break against southpaw Connelly Ealy and the Boston staff. Randal Grichuk will get the start in Grisham’s place and left field while hitting sixth.
  • PHI Relief Pitcher #51
Phillies optioned RHP Seth Johnson to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
Johnson has been up-and-down a couple of times already in 2026, and that’s likely to continue over the summer months. Alan Rangel is up to provide a fresh arm for the Philadelphia relief corps.
  • PHI Relief Pitcher #57
Phillies recalled RHP Alan Rangel from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
Rangel will have a chance to help the Phillies’ bullpen for the first time in 2026. The right-hander provides a fresh arm with Seth Johnson optioned to Triple-A to make room.
  • LAD Starting Pitcher #7
Blake Snell (shoulder) is scheduled to make a rehab start for Wednesday for Low-A Ontario.
Snell’s appearance will be his first official rehab start as he works his way back from shoulder fatigue that has sidelined him for all of 2026. The 33-year-old southpaw will likely need to make at least a couple of these before he’s ready to go, but assuming no setbacks, he should be back at some point in May.
  • MIA Left Fielder #5
Christopher Morel (oblique) is beginning a rehab assignment Tuesday with Triple-A Jacksonville.
As expected, Morel is beginning his rehab assignment for his left oblique strain with the Jumbo Shrimp. The 26-year-old has been shelved since just before the start of the regular season, and he’ll likely need a handful of games at least before getting a chance to play for Miami.
  • HOU Center Fielder #56
Astros selected the contract of OF Daniel Johnson from Triple-A Sugar Land.
Johnson was just signed to a minor league contract by the Astros on Sunday, and now the 30-year-old will get a chance to help the Houston bench after Taylor Trammell was placed on the injured list with a groin strain.
  • HOU Relief Pitcher #82
Astros designated RHP Christian Roa for assignment.
Roa is now off the 40-man roster. The Astros will have three days to trade the right-hander, or they risk losing him to the waiver wire. if he goes unclaimed, he’ll report back to Sugar Land or can elect free agency.
