Fernando Tatis Jr. is out of the lineup for Wednesday’s game against the Mariners.
Tatis receives his first day off this season after making 17 consecutive starts between right field and second base. The 27-year-old fantasy standout is hitting .242/.316/.303 with seven runs scored, zero homers, seven RBI and four steals through 77 plate appearances.

Chad Patrick surrendered four runs over 3 2/3 innings to take a loss versus the Cardinals on Monday.
Hold Skubal in fantasy for now amid elbow surgery
Eric Samulski dissects Tarik Skubal's move to the 15-day IL for an elbow surgery and looks at past examples to explain why he's going to wait a week before making any concrete fantasy decisions.
  • KC Shortstop #7
Bobby Witt Jr. collected his third homer and his 11th stolen base Monday in the Royals’ 6-2 victory over the Guardians.
Witt’s homers have all come in his last eight games after he went his first 27 without one. Tonight’s was a 107.1-mph rocket off Tanner Bibee to put the Royals on the board for the first time in the fourth.
  • KC Starting Pitcher #52
Michael Wacha pitched seven innings of two-run ball in defeating the Guardians on Monday.
Wacha settled for three strikeouts in a game in which he got misses on just two of 39 swings, but aside from David Fry’s homer in the second, he mostly generated soft contract. His season BABIP is all of the way down to .231. He’s bettered the league average there in four straight seasons, but never by nearly this much. He’s 3-2 with a 3.05 ERA, and he’s scheduled to face the Tigers next time out.
  • CLE Starting Pitcher #28
Tanner Bibee dropped to 0-5 after giving up four runs in four innings Monday against the Royals.
Bibee faced just one over the minimum through three, but the fourth started with a Bobby Witt Jr. homer and just kept going from there. The Royals managed four more hits, two of them on grounders. One of those skidded off the second base bag and went right between the legs of Travis Bazzana. Bibee was then pulled before the start of the fifth. He struck out four tonight and had a 31 percent CSW. He just couldn’t stop the bleeding when he needed to. He’ll take a 4.58 ERA into his start against the Twins this weekend.
  • CLE Catcher #6
David Fry went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer to plate the Guardians’ only runs Monday versus the Royals.
Fry’s start against Michael Wacha tonight was just his third of the year versus a righty. He’s batting .262/.392/.500 in his 51 plate appearances, so he might be in line for more playing time at the expense of Kyle Manzardo and Rhys Hoskins.
  • CLE Center Fielder #38
Steven Kwan finished 0-for-4 in the loss to the Royals on Monday.
Kwan also went 0-for-4 on Sunday, so he’s back down to .217/.311/.279 for the season. He’ll surely get that average up in time, but he might not do well enough in any other category to be more than a fringe fantasy outfielder.
  • NYY 2nd Baseman #13
Jazz Chisholm Jr. went 1-for-4 with a walk, two runs scored and two stolen bases against the Orioles on Monday.
Chisholm was on base twice and scored twice in the Yankees’ 12-1 victory over the Orioles on Monday. He also had two stolen bases, which gives him 11 for the season. The 28-year-old second baseman is hitting just .213 with three home runs and 12 RBI this year.
  • NYY Right Fielder #99
Aaron Judge went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, a home run and four RBI against the Orioles on Monday.
Judge’s home run was his 14th of the season. He hit a two-run shot off Shane Baz in the first inning. The 34-year-old outfielder didn’t miss an opportunity to cash in late with a two-run single in the eighth inning that put the Yankees up 9-1. Judge is hitting .272 with a 1.057 OPS and 27 RBI on the season.
  • BAL Starting Pitcher #34
Shane Baz allowed six runs (five earned) in 5 2/3 innings and took the loss against the Yankees on Monday.
Baz gave up five hits, walked five and struck out four. He fell to 1-3 with the loss. Baz’ day started with allowing a double to Trent Grisham and a two-run home run to Aaron Judge. It didn’t get much better from there as he allowed six runs, though one was unearned. Baz’ 4.49 xFIP isn’t much better than his 4.99 ERA. He’s not a recommended option at home against the Athletics this weekend.
  • TOR Right Fielder #4
Blue Jays manager John Schneider said George Springer (toe) should be ready for Tuesday’s game against the Rays.
Springer sat out his second straight game during Monday’s series opener after fouling a ball off his left toe over the weekend.
