Still, a solid outing that saw him generate 15 swings and misses while throwing 56-of-84 pitches for strikes. It is worth noting, however, that his velocity was down a good amount — 94.7 mph per four-seam fastball compared to 96.1 in 2025 — so that’s something to keep an eye on. Wheeler will be back on the mound Friday against the Marlins.

Mitchell gets an opportunity atop Milwaukee’s lineup to face Arizona veteran starter Merrill Kelly, who has been hit hard in a couple outings this season. Brice Turang is back in the third spot after leading off five of the last six contests. The 27-year-old speedster has been scuffling at the dish recently, but this feels like a nice spot for him to turn things around. He’s always going to strike out a bit more than fantasy managers want to see, but Mitchell is an exciting power/speed combo talent.

Lee finds himself back in the leadoff spot for the second consecutive contest after going 4-for-5 with a triple during Sunday’s series finale against the Marlins. Willy Adames has been dropped to sixth in the order. The 27-year-old has been on a roll recently, hitting .439 (25-for-57) with two homers and five RBI over his last 15 games. He should be rostered in all fantasy formats, especially if he’s going to serve as San Francisco’s table-setting moving forward.

Harris returns to the big leagues with third baseman Max Muncy hitting the shelf with a fractured finger. The 27-year-old has gotten into 68 games at the highest level since 2024.

It’s a bit unclear how long Muncy will be sidelined at this juncture. The 23-year-old third baseman was hitting .239/.308/.402 with two homers, seven RBI and two thefts in 26 games to open the season. It’ll likely be Darrell Hernaiz taking over at the hot corner in his absence.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider made the statement to reporters after Springer ran the bases and hit again prior to Tuesday’s game at the Rogers Centre before Toronto. They’ll presumably see how he’s feeling afterwards before making a final decision on his status. The 36-year-old veteran outfielder, who is skipping a minor league rehab assignment, has been out since mid-April recovering from a fractured toe.

Atlanta hasn’t finalized their pitching plan for the remainder of the week, but Strider will be part of it, most likely on Sunday in place of journeyman Martín Pérez, after missing the opening five weeks of the season recovering from an oblique strain. The 27-year-old former fantasy ace shouldn’t have any workload restrictions after throwing 82 pitches during his final rehab start for Triple-A Gwinnett over the weekend. It’s a challenging spot having to contend with Coors Field’s high-octane offensive environment right out of the gate, but Strider is probably going to be worth the risk for managers in deeper fantasy leagues that have been stashing him this long.

Ritchie will lock horns with two-time defending AL Cy Young Award winner Tarik Skubal at Truist Park in his second big-league outing. The 22-year-old top pitching prospect was outstanding in his major-league debut, striking out seven while allowing two runs over seven innings against the Nationals last Thursday. Another strong performance would virtually ensure that he remains in Atlanta’s rotation for at least a couple additional terms. He’s worthy of a speculative roster spot in all fantasy formats.

Not good. Mendoza added that they’re hoping Soto, who is in Tuesday’s lineup at DH, will be ready to return to the outfield in the next couple days. He also noted that Soto underwent an MRI that didn’t reveal any structural damage, which is an encouraging sign. The 27-year-old generational has gone (3-for-15) with zero extra-base hits and six walks in five games since returning from the injured list last week. It doesn’t sound like a massive concern, but it’s a developing situation that fantasy managers should be closely monitoring.

Hard-hitting rookie Jose Fernandez takes over at shortstop again with Perdomo missing his second consecutive contest after suffering a left ankle sprain during Saturday’s showdown against the Padres in Mexico City. The 26-year-old franchise cornerstone doesn’t appear ticketed for the injured list, but that could always change. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day.
