Multiple outlets report that the Yankees will promote Jasson Dominguez from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Monday.
It’s not yet known what the corresponding move will be for the Yankees, but it could be Giancarlo Stanton (calf) being placed on the injured list. It’s also worth noting that Luis Gil was already optioned to Triple-A after Sunday’s loss, so there’s an open spot on the roster. Dominguez has been solid in his 22 games in the minors in 2026 with an .875 OPS, three homers and eight stolen bases over 99 plate appearances to show for it. He forged a serviceable .718 OPS in the majors in 2025, and it’s worth noting that he’s not long removed from being considered one of the best hitting prospects in the sport. Dominguez still has a bright future, but if he’s being called up to cover for Stanton his time in the Bronx might be short-lived.
