FOX’s Jay Glazer reports Frank Reich has “the hottest seat in the league.”
Speaking on FOX NFL Sunday, Galzer said what we all know. If something doesn’t change on the field in Charlotte, changes will be made off the field. The Panthers are 1-8, don’t have their own first-round pick next year, and the player they sent that pick off to acquire, Bryce Young, is imploding as a rookie. Reich has already shown signs of desperation, passing off play-calling duties to OC Thomas Brown only to take them back from him after a few weeks. Young has made more than his fair share of mistakes, but the Panthers are pot-committed to him for a few years. Reich, though likely expensive to fire, is more expendable than Young. If Carolina’s offense doesn’t show signs of life soon Reich will be on his way out.

Jets used the franchise tag on RB Breece Hall.
Sadiq runs fastest 40 by TE in combine history
Kyle Dvorchak recaps Oregon tight end Kenyon Sadiq's impressive 2026 NFL Scouting Combine showing in Indianapolis and reveals which teams with top-20 picks may be interested in drafting him.
  • FA Quarterback
The Athletic’s Jeff Howe believes Alabama QB Ty Simpson could be a good fit for the Rams.
Simpson would be a developmental project for Rams head coach Sean McVay if LA spent a draft pick on the Alabama product this spring. Howe said Simpson is considered “a high-level processor who wins before the snap, and his intangibles are through the roof. His ceiling might be as a Purdy type, though Purdy has a thicker frame and Simpson’s durability and shortage of starting experience are concerns.” Simpson, who had 3,567 yards, 28 touchdowns, and five interceptions over 15 games in 2025, is not widely considered a Week 1 starter for 2026.
  • SF Quarterback #10
The Athletic’s Jeff Howe believes the 49ers could demand a first-round draft pick in exchange for QB Mac Jones.
Jones is signed through the 2026 season but could see significant interest from quarterback-needy teams this spring. Howe said “with that talented roster and coach Kyle Shanahan, the Niners don’t want a season to go to waste if Purdy goes down again. Since Jones was a major reason the Niners stayed afloat in 2025, they could rightfully be stubborn and hold out for a first-round offer.” This, along with a recent report that the market for Jones is not expected to be “robust,” suggests the veteran will remain in San Francisco for at least one more season. Jones in 2025 was fifth among all QBs in drop back success rate. Purdy, meanwhile, led the NFL in success rate.
  • GB Quarterback #2
The Athletic’s Jeff Howe believes the Jets could pursue QB Malik Willis in free agency.
Howe pointed to the Jets’ $89 million in cap space, $50 million more than anyone who would be in the free-agent quarterback market this spring. Willis has been linked to the Dolphins after Miami brought in their head coach and GM from Green Bay, where Willis excelled in limited opportunities over the past two seasons. “Willis’ market has been projected at two years and $40 million to $50 million annually, though the guaranteed money is the more important factor,” Howe said. Willis will be pursued by a range of QB-needy teams, including the Dolphins and Cardinals. The Jets would seem like an odd landing spot as they begin yet another rebuild. “Willis still needs to go through growing pains, and those will be exponentially more taxing if there’s chaos around him,” Howe said. Willis in 2025 led all quarterbacks in EPA per drop back.
  • ATL Running Back #7
Falcons will play a 2026 regular season game in Madrid, Spain.
Who the Falcons will face has yet to be announced. The Madrid game will be among the league’s many international contests during the 2026 regular season. Last year the Falcons played the Colts in the first-ever-NFL regular season game in Berlin. This one will feature an Atlanta team under new head coach Kevin Stefanski, perhaps working with a new quarterback after Michael Penix showed in 2025 that he’s likely not a starting-caliber NFL QB.
  • FA Safety #20
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Texans are expected to release S Jimmie Ward.
Ward missed the entirety of the 2025 season amidst allegations of domestic abuse, including a civil suit that found him on the Commissioner’s Exempt List. The move will save the team $750,000 against the cap
  • LA Kicker #92
Rams tendered OL Justin Dedich, K Harrison Mevis, WR Xavier Smith.
The team will maintain control of three players that surprised in 2025, including “thiccer kicker” Harrison Mevis. The tendering of exclusive rights free agents ties the three to the franchise through the 2026 season considering they are unable to negotiate with other teams. At least for now, it appears as if the Rams will continue forward with Mevis as their place kicker.
  • MIA Cornerback #4
Impending free agent CB Kader Kohou (knee) has been medically cleared from the torn ACL suffered in 2025.
Kohou’s agents announced the news Monday, which comes exactly seven months, to the day, since he suffered a partially torn ACL that caused him to miss the entirety of the 2025 season. It appears unlikely that Kohou will remain with the Dolphins considering the regime change in Miami this offseason, meaning he will likely be forced into a short-term, prove-it-type contract with a change of scenery heading into 2026.
  • SEA Running Back #36
Seahawks tendered restricted free agents RB George Holani and S Ty Okada.
The transaction ensures both players will be with the team in 2026 as a qualifying tender applied to an exclusive rights free agent precludes them from negotiating with other franchises. The former undrafted free agent running back carved out a significant role down the stretch for the Super Bowl champs as a change of pace option behind Kenneth Walker following the season-ending injury to Zach Charbonnet, albeit requiring the injury to see regular action beyond special teams. Holani provides meaningful depth, at bare minimum. Also tendered was safety Ty Okada.
  • SEA Free Safety #39
    Seahawks tendered S Ty Okada.
The Seahawks tendered a one-year exclusive rights contract to Okada, keeping him with the team through next season. The soon-to-be 27-year-old safety who made the team as a UDFA in 2023 started 11-of-17 games for the Seahawks in 2025, totaling 65 tackles, six pass breakups, and one interception. He’s also a valuable member on special teams, appearing on a career-high 117 special teams snaps last season, per Pro Football Reference.
