The young Florida native is spending his time on the Asian Tour this year but he’s ultimate goal is still to play on the big stage. After a rough showing at last week’s Korea Open (79-75 to miss the cut) he bounced back in a big way today. Taking on the Orchards Golf Club in Washington, Michigan, he traded nine birdies with one bogey. Truslow will now get a chance to play in his fourth PGA TOUR event (MC at the 2014 Puerto Rico Open, T10 at this year’s Puerto Rico Open, and MC at this year’s Honda Classic). Truslow attended UVA but left after one year. Other qualifiers were Doc Redman (62), Martin Piller (66), and Wes Homan (66). The last two survived a 5-for-2 playoff to earn their seat with Alex Kang, Charlie Danielson, and Armando Favela not advancing from that playoff.
