Her second round is currently underway on a tougher course than she faced in the first round, but the 2-under par 68 put her in 13th place, with the top 18 finishers getting an invite to the Open. She may already be the second most famous golfer, behind Tiger Woods, and she’s hoping to become the first female to compete in the Masters. It’s quite possible that she could be on your men’s fantasy golf team in the next few years.

She’s six shots back of leader Annika Sorenstam, and will need to step up her game today to get into contention.

She forfeits just over $50,000, as Annika Sorenstam cruised to another win.

She could easily be leading the tourney right now, had she not made some mistakes down the stretch on Thursday.

Wie injured both wrists early in the year and had not played since the Sony Open in January. She was, at the time of withdrawal, 14-over-par after 16 holes and in danger of shooting an 88 which would have banned her from the LPGA Tour for one year.
