Gerard started his journey with a Monday Qualifier at the Honda Classic which he turned into a solo-fourth finish. He kept that momentum rolling with a T11 at the Puerto Rico Open before stalling out with a T71 and missed cut in his next two attempts to secure Special Temporary Membership. He got the job done this week and will now have some improved status for the remainder of the season. “it’s been a whirlwind. It’s been a lot of golf, a lot of travel. Not that I’m complaining because I want to do this for a living. Like it’s a dream that I get to wake up every day and hit golf balls and get paid to do it if you play well.”

The 23-year-old burst onto the scene with a solo 4th at the Honda Classic and a T11 at the Puerto Rico Open. He’s slowed his pace with a T71 at the Valspar and missed cut last week at the Corales. He finds himself just three FedExCup Points shy of reaching Special Temporary Membership which would unlock some addition benefits in terms of finding fields for the remainder of the season. He’ll be making his tournament debut this week at the Valero Texas Open and it currently 200/1 on the outright betting board.

The Korn Ferry Tour member popped with a T4 at the Honda Classic and parlayed that into a T11 at the Puerto Rico Open. He piled up 169 Non-Member FedExCup Points to find himself just 6.2 points away from earning Special Temporary Membership which would allow him unlimited sponsor exemptions for the remainder of the season. A sponsor’s invite is exactly how he landed in this week’s field, after relying on a Monday Q ahead of the Honda. Even before his top 5 at the Honda, he bagged a T3 at the Astara Golf Championship on the KFT. Gamers may want to ride the hot hand until he shows any sign of slowing down.

Gerard played his way into the event via Monday Qualifying. It was his first (non-major) appearance on the big stage (MC at the 2022 U.S. Open). He took full advantage of the opportunity and it started with the iron. Gerard piped 51 GIR for the week (T17) while gaining 6.9 strokes on approach (5th). When asked what he’ll take away from the week he responded, “I think the biggest first thing is that I can play out here. I have the game that translates out here if I play well. Maybe not every week, maybe not every course right now, but one day I believe that I can play and win out on the PGA TOUR. That is a very important thing for me confidence-wise.” This finish also earns him a seat in the field for next week’s Puerto Rico Open.
