The San Jose State senior played alongside Joseph Bramlett during the showcase. Battling a bit of breeze, scores did not get too low but Yu was the best of the bunch by two strokes, at day’s end. His closest competitors were Allen Hamilton (Kentucky) and Spencer Soosman (Texas). AFter his round he said, “To be honest, I didn’t think that I’d ever get to where I am today. It’s definitely a dream come true to play in a TOUR event and to play at The Riviera Country Club.” Gamers have no reason to invest in any fantasy formats but he will be an interesting name to watch and see how he stacks up against the best in the world.
