Sánchez, 28, missed the final three month of the season because of elbow trouble. The right-hander was placed on the 60-day injured list in August, and now remains off the 40-man roster. He still could compete for a bullpen spot in spring.

They needed to clear a spot on the 40-man roster following Monday’s trade with the Padres. Sánchez has been out since late June with an elbow injury.

Sánchez served up a pair of solo homers in this outing and has struggled in a pair of rehab appearances recently. The 28-year-old righty is working his way back from right elbow discomfort that sent him to the injured list back in late June.

Sánchez has been out since late June due to right elbow discomfort and should rejoin the Brewers’ bullpen sometime later this month following the All-Star break.

The right-hander is on the 15-day injured list with UCL discomfort retroactive to June 22. He’ll be shut down from throwing, but after taking a break the 28-year-old should be able to begin a rehab assignment. The Brewers will take precaution, but the 28-year-old has a chance to return after the All-Star break.

Not good. Sánchez has pitched well this season, compiling a respectable 4.05 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 9/8 K/BB ratio across 13 1/3 innings (12 appearances) at the major-league level. It looks like he’s going to be sidelined for an extended period.

Sánchez returns just a few days after being sent to the minors due to an injury to fellow middle reliever Luis Perdomo. The 28-year-old righty has made just one appearance this season at the major-league level.

Sánchez, 28, is sent down to make room for Josh Hader after Hader came off the bereavement list.

It’s the first stint in the majors this season for Sanchez, who made 28 appearances for the Brewers in 2021. He’ll be used in middle relief.

With Mike Brousseau around and Keston Hiura adding to his versatility, there wasn’t much need for Reyes. Perdomo had a great camp and probably would’ve made the roster if he was already on the 40-man roster.
