Brewers sent RHP Miguel Sánchez outright to Triple-A Nashville.
Sánchez, 28, missed the final three month of the season because of elbow trouble. The right-hander was placed on the 60-day injured list in August, and now remains off the 40-man roster. He still could compete for a bullpen spot in spring.

They needed to clear a spot on the 40-man roster following Monday’s trade with the Padres. Sánchez has been out since late June with an elbow injury.

Miguel Sánchez (elbow) allowed two runs over one inning on Sunday in a minor league rehab appearance for Triple-A Nashville.
Sánchez served up a pair of solo homers in this outing and has struggled in a pair of rehab appearances recently. The 28-year-old righty is working his way back from right elbow discomfort that sent him to the injured list back in late June.

An MRI on Miguel Sánchez’s right elbow revealed nothing overly serious.
The right-hander is on the 15-day injured list with UCL discomfort retroactive to June 22. He’ll be shut down from throwing, but after taking a break the 28-year-old should be able to begin a rehab assignment. The Brewers will take precaution, but the 28-year-old has a chance to return after the All-Star break.

Brewers placed RHP Miguel Sánchez on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to June 22, with right UCL discomfort.
Not good. Sánchez has pitched well this season, compiling a respectable 4.05 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 9/8 K/BB ratio across 13 1/3 innings (12 appearances) at the major-league level. It looks like he’s going to be sidelined for an extended period.

Brewers recalled RHP Miguel Sánchez from Triple-A Nashville.
Sánchez returns just a few days after being sent to the minors due to an injury to fellow middle reliever Luis Perdomo. The 28-year-old righty has made just one appearance this season at the major-league level.

Brewers recalled RHP Miguel Sanchez from Triple-A Nashville.
It’s the first stint in the majors this season for Sanchez, who made 28 appearances for the Brewers in 2021. He’ll be used in middle relief.

Brewers optioned INF/OF Pablo Reyes and RHPs J.C. Mejía and Miguel Sánchez to Triple-A Nashville; re-assigned RHP Luis Perdomo to minor league camp.
With Mike Brousseau around and Keston Hiura adding to his versatility, there wasn’t much need for Reyes. Perdomo had a great camp and probably would’ve made the roster if he was already on the 40-man roster.
