Cubs shortstop Addison Russell made one of the best defensive plays you’ll see this post-season during Game 2 of the NLDS against the Cardinals at Busch Stadium on Saturday. Leading off the bottom of the second inning, Cardinals shortstop Jhonny Peralta hit a bullet destined for left field, but Russell dove to his right to snag the ball, then quickly got up and fired a one-hopper to first baseman Anthony Rizzo for the out. Rizzo deserves a little credit on the play for the pick.
