Brewers outfielder Khris Davis slugged two solo home runs this afternoon against the Giants, but he nearly had one of them taken away. After Davis took Tim Lincecum deep in the first inning, the Giants appealed that he missed home plate. After some confusion with the umpiring crew about how to handle the situation, Lincecum threw to Buster Posey and home plate umpire Will Little confirmed the out. However, Brewers manager Craig Counsell challenged the play and the call was reversed after replay review. It was quite an amusing sequence of events.

Davis hit another homer in his very next at-bat, but there was no controversy this time, as he appeared to learn his lesson. He made sure to step right in the middle of home plate on the way back to the dugout.
