Kay Felder, the former second-round pick of the Hawks who has bounced the NBA for the past few seasons, was in Toronto with their G-League team this season trying to make it back to the NBA.

However, Monday the Raptors 905 released Felder following an arrest and charges of domestic violence. The team is not commenting further on the situation.

Police reports in the Toronto suburb of Mississauga (where the Raptors 905 is based) say officers were called out to a residence following the report of a disturbance. TMZ reports the that Felder choked the woman — someone he has known for years — leaving marks on her neck. The woman was treated by paramedics, Felder was arrested and ultimately charged with assault. He was released on bail.

Felder played for the Cavaliers, Bulls, and Pistons and was in 53 NBA games. This season he’s averaged 18.1 points and 6.5 assists a night in 11 games for Raptors 905.
