We were a little skeptical and sarcastic when we heard Penny Hardaway said he thought he could help the Heat.
Okay, we’re never a little skeptical and sarcastic -- we’re bloggers. But in a follow up interview with the Orlando Sentinel Hardaway sounds like he understands where he is right now. And that is not the NBA.
“That was something that I felt in my heart that I felt my talent would match well with (Miami). I wasn’t trying to come back to the league, just that I could help in that role,” Penny Hardaway told the Orlando Sentinel Monday. “If it doesn’t work out, I’m going to stay retired.”
That’s best, because Penny could still probably dunk over Jamaal Magloire or any of the rest of the Heat centers. Actually, ‘lil Penny probably could. And we’re trying to keep their confidence up.
