The Seahawks have added a pair of wideouts to their roster for the second straight game.

Cody White’s stay is set to be longer this time. He was elevated on a temporary basis last week, but was signed to the 53-man roster this week.

Dareke Young was placed on injured reserve in a corresponding move. Young was ruled out along with Jake Bobo on Sunday. Tory Horton is listed as doubtful and Cooper Kupp is listed as questionable, so the Seahawks also elevated Ricky White for the second game in a row.

Cody White had a 60-yard touchdown catch last Sunday night. He played 36 offensive snaps and Ricky White played seven while also seeing time on special teams.

The Seahawks also placed defensive tackle Jarran Reed on injured reserve, signed defensive tackle Quinton Bohanna off the practice squad and elevated linebacker Patrick O’Connell for Sunday’s game against the Cardinals.

In the fourth quarter of Monday night’s game against the Cardinals, the Cowboys were down by 10 points and driving. After making a catch for a first down in Arizona territory, Pickens held the ball in the direction of Cardinals cornerback Denzel Burke.

Pickens was flagged for taunting.

On Saturday, the league announced that Pickens has been fined $17,389.

The penalty added 15 yards to the Cowboys’ effort to carve deeper into what had been a 17-point Cardinals lead. The Cowboys didn’t score again in the game.

For Pickens, it was a reminder that — despite having immense talent — there’s an immaturity that can rear its head an inopportune times. And that will become a factor for any team monitoring his performance in 2025 (which has been very impressive) with an eye toward possibly trying to sign him in free agency, if Pickens and the Cowboys can’t come to agreement on a new deal.

The Seahawks have ruled out defensive tackle Jarran Reed (wrist/thumb) for Sunday’s game against the Cardinals.

He was on the injury report the past two weeks with a wrist injury.

The Seahawks listed him as questionable for Week 9, but he managed to play 17 of 65 snaps against the Commanders. Reed had no injury designation on Friday for the Week 10 game after practicing fully all week.

The Seahawks ruled out wide receiver Jake Bobo (calf), wide receiver Dareke Young (quad), guard Christian Haynes (pectoral) and cornerback Josh Jobe (concussion). Linebacker Ernest Jones (knee) and wide receiver Tory Horton (groin/shin) are doubtful/

Wide receiver Cooper Kupp (hamstring/heel) and tight end A.J. Barner (calf) are questionable.

The Cardinals’ decision to put quarterback Kyler Murray on injured reserve this week sparked conversations about whether Murray will play for the team again and General Manager Monti Ossenfort didn’t offer any guarantees about that on Friday.

Murray has not played since Week 5 because of a foot injury and Ossenfort said that the team believes he will be able to come off that list before the season is over. For now, he said the team is “gonna do everything we can to get him in a good spot to help us out come later in the season once he’s completely healthy.”

Ossenfort stopped well short of saying that Murray is going to reclaim the starting job from Jacoby Brissett once that happens, however.

“When we put a guy on IR, that’s four weeks away,” Ossenfort said, via ArizonaSports.com. “A lot of things can happen between now and then. I think Jacoby has done a great job of leading our offense. We’re expecting more of the same moving forward. But Jacoby’s put himself in a good spot for where we’re going offensively. When Kyler gets healthy . . . we’ll assess when we get to that point.”

As discussed on PFT this week, Murray is already guaranteed $36.8 million for the 2026 season and he would have $19.5 million of his 2027 salary guaranteed if he is on the roster five days into the 2026 league year. That can be avoided by cutting him, but only if he’s healthy enough to pass a physical and an injury would also make it harder to trade Murray. That could incentivize the Cardinals to make an assessment that Brissett is the right man for the job even if Murray is healthy enough to play at some point before the 2025 season comes to an end.

The Seahawks have a pressing need for new receiver Rashid Shaheed.

The receiver, who arrived on Wednesday morning after a trade with the Seahawks, will likely see extensive playing time in his debut. Four Seahawks receivers have injury issues.

Veteran Cooper Kupp is questionable with heel and hamstring injuries. Also, Tory Horton (groin/shin) is doubtful and Jake Bobo (calf) and Dareke Young (hip) are out for Sunday’s game against the Cardinals.

He’s doing great,” coach Mike Macdonald said Friday regarding Shaheed, via Brady Henderson of ESPN.com. “Just keep attacking it. . . . He’s done a great job so far, and the prep won’t stop until all the way through game time.”

Making the transition easier is the fact that Shaheed played for Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak in New Orleans. And it’s not as if Shaheed needs to know the entire playbook.

“It’s different because you’re only learning the game-plan plays, so we have a plan for him,” Macdonald said. “But I can’t wait to see him play. He’s done a great job.”

Shaheed gives the Seahawks a deep threat who can force opposing defenses to cover every blade of grass, opening things up for others — like superstar Jaxson Smith-Njigba.

And it’s the kind of move that acknowledge the legitimacy of the 6-2 Seahawks to contend not just for a playoff berth but for a spot in the Super Bowl.
