Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco was back on the practice field Thursday.

Flacco was listed as a limited participant after missing Wednesday’s practice with a right shoulder injury. Head coach Zac Taylor said on Wednesday that Flacco is 50-50 to play against the Bears this weekend.

Defensive end Trey Hendrickson (hip) remained out of practice along with guard Dalton Risner (illness), linebacker Logan Wilson (calf), and cornerback Marco Wilson (hamstring).

Linebacker Oren Burks (groin) and defensive tackle B.J. Hill (rest) were added to the report as limited participants. Guard Dylan Fairchild (knee), defensive end Cedric Johnson (knee), and defensive end Cam Sample (knee) were full participants for the second straight day.

The Bears got a few players back on the practice field on Thursday.

Wide receivers DJ Moore (hip, groin), Rome Odunze (heel), and Olamide Zaccheaus (knee) all participated after sitting out on Wednesday. All three players were listed as limited participants and their status for Sunday’s game against the Bengals will be updated after Friday’s practice.

The Bears remained without wide receiver Lester Burden (concussion) and running back D’Andre Swift (groin). Running back Roschon Johnson (back), defensive lineman Dominique Robinson (ankle), and guard Joe Thuney (rest) were also out of practice on Thursday.

Tight end Cole Kmet (back) was limited in practice for the second straight day. Cornerback Tyrique Stevenson (shoulder) went from limited to full participation and linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga (knee) remained full as he nears a return to the active roster.

The Bengals could play Sunday’s game against Chicago without starting quarterback Joe Flacco. He did not practice on Wednesday, as coach Zac Taylor said would be the case before practice.

Flacco sprained the AC joint in his right shoulder on a sack late in last Sunday’s loss to the Jets but returned for the team’s final offensive possession. Taylor confirmed the uncertainty about Flacco’s status for Sunday.

The Bengals also have a concern at defensive end as Trey Hendrickson didn’t practice. He aggravated his right hip issue Sunday, playing only 23 of 73 snaps.

He initially injured his hip in the Week 6 game against the Packers and didn’t play in the Thursday night game against the Steelers in Week 7.

Hendrickson was limited for the team’s first two practices of last week and did not participate in Friday’s practice.

The Bengals also practiced without linebacker Logan Wilson (calf), cornerback Marco Wilson (hamstring) and offensive guard Dalton Risner (illness).

The Bears were missing three of their top skill position players at practice on Wednesday.

Wide receiver Rome Odunze (heel), running back D’Andre Swift (groin), and wide receiver DJ Moore (hip, groin) were all listed as non-participants on the team’s first injury report of the week. Rookie wideout Luther Burden (concussion) and veteran receiver Olamide Zaccheaus (knee) were also out as the Bears got to work ahead of Sunday’s game against the Bengals.

Running back Roschon Johnson (back) and defensive lineman Dominique Robinson (ankle) were the team’s other non-participants on Wednesday.

Tight end Cole Kmet (back) and cornerback Tyrique Stevenson (shoulder) were listed as limited participants while linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga (knee) was a full participant.

A report on Wednesday morning said Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco’s status for Sunday’s game against the Bears is uncertain due to a right shoulder injury and head coach Zac Taylor confirmed that at a press conference later in the day.

Flacco sprained his AC joint on a sack late in last Sunday’s loss to the Jets, but returned for the team’s final offensive possession. Taylor said that Flacco will not practice on Wednesday, but that the team has a plan in place to see what he’s able to do physically before facing Chicago.

“We’ll just work through the week,” Taylor said. “I think right now it’s probably 50-50 on what’ll end up on Sunday.”

Taylor said the injury is “painful,” but that Flacco wants to play and he noted that he played with very little practice time after joining the team in a trade with the Browns earlier this month. Jake Browning will be the Bengals’ starter if Flacco can’t go this weekend.
