Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs last played in Week 6, during a loss at Carolina. Nine weeks later, he’s poised to return.

I’m ready,” Diggs said Friday, via Todd Archer of ESPN.com. He was limited in practice every day this week.

Diggs suffered a concussion as a result of an at-home accident in the says after the October 12 game. The team later placed him on injured reserve, reportedly due to lingering issues with a knee injury first suffered in 2023

“It’s definitely been hard because of course you want to get back out there,” Diggs said, per Archer. “But people feel how they feel and just got to roll with the punches and keep pushing forward.”

The bigger question is whether the Cowboys will keep Diggs for 2026, given that his contract has no additional guaranteed money. Diggs is due to earn $14.5 million in salary salary with a cap hit of $18.441 million next year.

“I know what I’m capable of,” Diggs said Friday. “I know what I can do. I’m not having a crisis of not knowing how to play football. I know how to play football. I know what I’m capable of. I know what skill set I have. It’s just all about showing it, putting it out there and making plays that I’ve always made.”

Diggs added that he hopes to stay with the Cowboys.

“Whatever happens, happens,” Diggs said. “I’m prepared for it and I would love to be here. I love everything in coming to Dallas, the fans, the relationships I’ve built here. But, you know, if that’s not what it is, that’s not what it is.”

What it currently is is this. Diggs has four chances to prove to the Cowboys that they should keep him for another year. Starting on Sunday night against the Vikings.

The Cowboys won’t have left tackle Tyler Guyton for a third consecutive week. He is out with an ankle injury that again kept him out of practice all week.

Nate Thomas has started in Guyton’s place.

The Cowboys list edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney (hamstring), cornerback Trevon Diggs (knee) and tight end Jake Ferguson (calf) as questionable.

Clowney, who missed last week’s game with his injury, was a full participant in Friday’s practice.

Diggs has not played since Week 6 and remains on injured reserve. The Cowboys will make a decision on Saturday about whether to activate Diggs from injured reserve.

Ferguson returned to limited work on Friday after missing Thursday’s session.

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott doesn’t need any extra reason to root against the Eagles.

At 6-6-1, the Cowboys could still wind up as the NFC East champions this season, but winning their remaining games won’t take care of that on its own. The Eagles are 8-5 despite their current three-game losing streak, so they’ll need to continue dropping games if the Cowboys are going to leapfrog them before the end of Week 18.

Prescott said that the team’s current situation isn’t giving him any extra motivation when it comes to pulling for Philly’s opponents.

“I just got to go win every game,” Prescott said, via Jon Machota of TheAthletic.com. “That’s all I can control. I’m gonna root against them regardless, whether we were in this position or not.”

The Cowboys face the 5-8 Vikings on Sunday night and the Eagles will host the Raiders earlier in the day. The Eagles will then face the Commanders twice in the final three weeks, so the help the Cowboys need may not be coming.

It looks like wide receiver CeeDee Lamb will have a good chance of playing against the Vikings on Sunday night.

Lamb moved up to full participation in Thursday’s practice, which is a good indication that he will clear the concussion protocol before the game. Lamb was injured against the Lions in last Thursday’s loss.

Tight end Jake Ferguson (calf) did not practice after being limited on Wednesday. Left tackle Tyler Guyton (ankle) remained out of practice.

Defensive end Jadeveon Clowney (hamstring), cornerback Trevon Diggs (knee), and cornerback Shavon Revel (knee) were listed as limited. Safety Malik Hooker (personal), fullback Hunter Luepke (hip), safety Donovan Wilson (knee), and tackle Hakeem Adenjii (knee) were full participants.

Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb had a limited practice on Wednesday as the team returned to work after a mini-bye. That’s an indication he is on track to return for Sunday’s game against the Vikings.

Lamb was diagnosed with a concussion in last Thursday’s loss to the Lions.

He had six catches for 121 yards before landing on his head with 12:42 remaining in the third quarter. Lamb has 57 receptions for 865 yards and three touchdowns in 10 games this season.

Edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney (hamstring) also got in limited work after missing last week’s game.

Left tackle Tyler Guyton (ankle) and safety Malik Hooker (personal) did not practice.

Cornerback Trevon Diggs (knee), tight end Jake Ferguson (calf), fullback Hunter Luepke (hip), cornerback Shavon Revel (knee) and safety Donovan Wilson (knee) were limited. Diggs remains on injured reserve.
