The Patriots won their ninth game in a row on Sunday. It came with a potentially significant cost.
Rookie left tackle Will Campbell suffered a knee injury. And while coach Mike Vrabel had no update after the game, a source with knowledge of the situation tells PFT that more will be known tomorrow, after an MRI is performed.
The concern in any situation like this is that the player has suffered a possible ACL tear.
Campbell was replaced on Sunday by Vederian Lowe. Lowe would presumably get the assignment if Campbell misses time.
The fourth overall pick in the 2025 draft, Campbell has started all 11 games during his rookie season.
In Week 13, the Patriots host the Giants on Monday night. Their bye comes in Week 14.
The Patriots won’t put a frame around it, but they came out of Cincinnati with a 26-20 win over the Bengals.
New England is now 10-2 and Cincinnati 3-8.
The Patriots are left with concerns in the offensive line, with left guard Jared Wilson (ankle) and left tackle Will Campbell (knee) carted off to the X-ray room. Right tackle Morgan Moses went to the locker room briefly in the first half with an illness.
The Patriots scored on Hunter Henry’s 28-yard touchdown reception, Marcus Jones’ 33-yard interception return and Andy Borregales’ field goals of 41, 45, 19 and 52 yards.
The Patriots gained 392 yards but went 0-for-2 in the red zone to keep it a game. The Bengals reached the New England 26 before a spike and three incompletions to end it with 18 seconds left.
Drake Maye was 22-of-35 for 294 yards with a touchdown and an interception, which Geno Stone returned for a 32-yard touchdown for the Bengals. Henry caught seven passes for 115 yards and a touchdown.
Joe Flacco, who briefly left late in the game with a finger injury, was 19-of-37 for 183 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Mitch Tinsley caught a 17-yard touchdown pass on the fourth-quarter play after Tee Higgins landed on his head and neck and was carted off.
Chase Brown ran 19 times for 107 yards as the Bengals gained 307 yards.
Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins was injured with 4:45 remaining in Sunday’s game.
He leaped for the football and landed hard on his head and neck, with cornerback Carlton Davis landing on him. Higgins was motionless for several minutes.
Higgins was carted to the locker room.
Davis was called for a 27-yard pass interference penalty, and Joe Flacco threw a 17-yard touchdown to Mitch Tinsley on the next play to draw the Bengals within 23-20 of the Patriots.
On the play before Higgins’ injury, wide receiver Andrei Iosivas left for the sideline medical tent.
Joe Flacco also briefly left on the drive with what appeared to be an injury to the index finger on his throwing hand.
The Patriots have seen three offensive linemen leave today.
Left guard Jared Wilson was carted off with an ankle injury in the first half, and right tackle Morgan Moses went to the locker room briefly with an illness.
The team has now lost left tackle Will Campbell, and the injury did not look good.
Campbell was injured with 4:48 left in the third quarter on TreVeyon Henderson’s 4-yard run. He was carted to the training room wearing a towel over his head.
The Patriots report that Campbell has a knee injury and list him as questionable to return.
The Patriots lead 20-13.
The Patriots fell behind the Bengals 10-0. They now lead 17-13.
Bengals kicker Evan McPherson kicked a 63-yard field goal on the final play of the half to end the Patriots’ 17-0 run.

Henry has three catches for 57 yards and a touchdown, and Austin Hooper has two catches for 35 yards.
Joe Flacco is 9-of-15 for 75 yards and an interception, and Chase Brown has 12 carries for 76 yards. The Bengals have missed Ja’Marr Chase, who is suspended for today for spitting on Jalen Ramsey last week.
